Interesting listen. They largely seem to agree with my opinion, the Goalsystem engine is applicable to all sorts of genres and settings.

Agreed, Goalsystem is a very flexible core mechanic. The powers/abilities are what makes it specific to any given genre. In effect whatever background you play the mechanic of an ability is the same, it is the description and textural aspect that changes
It is very similar in that respect to the "Savage Worlds" core mechanic.
The more work the GM is willing to put in to create the feel and background the better the game works.
I started listening to the podcast section but had to give up.......the guy who insisted on starting every sentence with "So" really got on my nerves, I hate that increasingly common habit.

I appreciated the acknowledgement and discussion of the rules. We've been chugging along for years, and I am always excited when folks discover us. :)

I used to listen to them much more when I spent a great deal of time painting, they were great background noise. Since I don't paint anymore, I've noticed an unfavorable information/noise ratio and have stopped listening unless I care about the subject.
That being said, you should ping them Scott and see about being a guest! It would be great to reach more folks and let them know about the work you are doing.

That's what all podcasts are for me - background buzz while painting. I might pay more or less attention depending on the subject, but I can't imagine listening to any of them with my exclusive attention.
