I almost overlooked this one, it was below an entry of round 1. This reply should fix this.
Both excellent entries of course.
-
Always like it when the big guns come up against each other! Stunning work, guys!
-
Very hard to choose
-
Both brilliant. Not voted yet. Will have to come back a few times and look again.
-
Brilliant stuff on both entries. I wonder if the Captain won't be disadvantaged by the longer shot.
-
Both entries go to show how important taking a good photo of your minis is.
-
So difficult to choose...great entries
-
Captain, great painting aside, I'm seriously impressed by the creative and highly unusual composition- none of the figures are facing the viewer! Pretty sure I've never seen that done so well. Reminds me of a photo or scene done by someone who was there, slightly behind the troops. Excellent sense of action!

Thanks Matt. I think your beastmen are better painted TBH, and voted accordingly. The shine and crisp execution on their weapons - on all the metalwork actually, including that gorgeous statue - is exceedingly well done.
Alas, my scene does have the advantage of a photogenic tank - a bit of an eye-catcher in its snazzy camo.
It's a tribute act after Keith, who staged a very similar scene with most of the same Perry figures and an FT17 tank in the last LPL - although I think he used a different FT17 model :)
I'd love to tell you the non-camera-facing figure composition is arty and creative. Truthfully though, it's just that with their satchels, webbing etc, the figures have a bit more visual interest from the side / rear than from the front ::)
Brilliant stuff on both entries. I wonder if the Captain won't be disadvantaged by the longer shot.
Interestingly, I think it's probably the other way round. A slightly longer shot conceals inadequacies in the paint job.
-
This is the most difficult choice for the round! In the end I went with the beasties, as they're closer to my preferred projects, but damnnnn the painting is crisp as hell on L'Armee!
-
Really? Really though?
I'll have to roll dice to make a call between these. Brilliant work both of you.
-
Both entries are very well executed, inspiring stuff.
