Last night James and Matt came over and we played a couple of games of The Men Who Would Be Kings set in the NWF.
In the first a punitive British expedition set out to destroy a Pathan village. The second game the British were trying to dislodge some tenacious Pathans from a hillside.

Deeply inspirational, TWD. Have to say I just love the look of your figures and table; the latter has a clean, somewhat stylized style that I find very appealing. Well done, sir! :)

Nice Tom (and James too!) :-* :-* :-*

Like a North Western Wellington! It looks like fun was had. I like TMWWBK.

Thank you - more by accident than design I think, though I'm certainly not aiming for a hyper realistic effect.

Thanks Tom for hosting and umpiring! In an uncharacteristic twist, I provided 0% of the toys and terrain on display - all are Tom’s.
I enjoyed many of the mechanics (I certainly don’t miss the ‘flunk one Command roll and your turn is over’ of the earlier Rampant games) but playing with just four units (4 x 6 points in the case of the British) didn’t feel like enough. Will try again soon with slightly bigger forces - I’d like to get my Ethiopians back on the table!
