The debacle on Archeron (also known as LV-426) quickly spun out of control for Weyland-Yutani. Earth’s nation states used the disaster to reassert authority over the corporations that had, in many areas, usurped power from national authorities. The corporations maintained large, well-armed mercenary forces but in their hubris and greed they did not possess a fleet of Interstellar warships. Earth’s ICC used it’s fleet and a greatly enlarged Colonial Marine force to reduce the corporate systems one-by-one. The last to fall was the great corporate planet, Alexandria.
Below are photographs of elements of Lt. Gen. Eden Swift’s 3rd Colonial Marine Assault Regiment as it lands on Feldspar, a mining planet formerly held by Hyperdyne.

Great looking setup...I’ve got a platoon of those Galoob APCs myself
8)

The Galoob Action Fleet APCs are my favorite version of the APC. I’ve had a lot of other ones (LEG, Kronos, Halcyon) but for scale, looks, playability, sturdiness, etc nothing beats that Galoob. And it comes complete with “grinding trans-axel” sound effect! lol It’s a shame they’re so darn expensive on the secondary market. I’m glad I got mine when they first came out.

Hyperdine? I guess now you need a few 25mm terminators to go with those marines

Hyperdibe Systems is the company in the Aliens franchise that created and built the artificial synthetics like the Ash or Bishop models.

They look amazing!
Who makes the marine and terminator minis?
-
Great stuff! I have a couple of those APCs as well. I've got about 15 of the leading edge marines (plus other characters).
I've never really loved them. I may need to paint them, that might change my mind

The Terminators and Colonial Marines are from Leading Edge Games.

I know! It's just that in the alien vs predator vs the terminator comic book they were the same company (have you noticed how close are both names? and the things the manufacture...)
Like these?
I didn't even know they existed! Now I fear it's too late for me to grab some in the second hand market (I don't even own the true LE Aliens, just the Homophages from Tin Soldier)

Great work on the CM force; they look great.
What will the opposition look like?

I really liked the look of those, so I was so unwise to look for them on Ebay. They now range from anywhere between GBP 80,- and 200,- :o
Yup; those are out of the question for sure... ::)

Oh those Terminators look pretty sinister.

And I’ve been using the LEG T2 Future Soldiers (minus the John Connors figure) as corporate mercenaries.
-
The Marines are a really good looking unit. A bit steep to build these days, as that APC goes for $79 and up now.

Agreed. The Galoob APC is a fun and great looking model but the prices on the secondary market are very expensive. OTOH, I’ll play Devil’s Advocate and suggest that if Aliens is something you really want do, with LEG figures and a Galoob APC, then there are worse ways to spend your hobby money. ;) I’ve spent more money on other projects that hardly ever saw the light of day. I win some, I lose some. ;D
