:-* That's a tough one, Pulper your work on those classic minis is amazing as always, but the Dr's work on those samurai is equally amazing, the patterns on the pants and sleeve especially
-
Both great entries :o
-
both outstanding - it is a pity we can only vote for one.
-
Amazing entries. Love the skin tones in both.
-
Excellent painting Pulper... super smooth blending and subtle variety of color. I like that you differentiated the chaos warriors. Top notch.
-
Miniatures asiade, both entries being very well painted, I am also very impressed by the stands of bamboo. How did you make those, Mathias?
-
OK two brilliant entries - both so vibrant and beautifully painted
-
Wow :o Once again, the blending, NMM and colour choices on those Heroquest pieces is outstanding Pulper. I can't imagine these have ever looked this good before.
Fabulous painting and setting, Matt, on the fantasy Japanese theme.

Thanks, I had the process in my 'Arboreal Extravaganza' thread. Looks like the Photobucket deal struck the images there... I'll need to replace them :'(
Plastic plants, wire, and heat-shrink tubing is the short answer :)

Great color scheme and freehands. A well deserved win.

I honestly figured you'd win this one, those are some damn fine paint jobs you have there, no doubt about it.

Sorry to be late to the party, and blinding work as always by both participants, but can I please ask where that oriental troll/ogre is from? ???
It's really lovely.

That troll was from Cavalcade, they stopped trading a few years ago. I'm not sure who might offer it up now.
I'm glad to have the samurai orc project done, I started the range in my first LPL about nine years ago o_o

Ah, poo, that's a shame. Thanks for the info though, maybe Ebay will be kind. :)
-
Obviously brilliant by both.
I'd have voted for the Hero quest lads, because I love how you've brought texture and lighting onto what are pretty flat models.
