Title: Revolver gunboat for Tonkin
Post by: OSHIROmodels on November 28, 2019, 12:33:19 PM: I was asked by a regular client to make a larger version of the Revolver that's available. The hull and roof were 3d printed and the cabins were lasered. The boiler was a normal scratchbuild and new anchors were bought for it. The guns and funnel are from the existing kit. It's got a clear 5mm plate underneath to help protect it which is the same as the Vipre model.

Here is a size comparison of the kit and the new hull.

And here is the final model. There are a couple of crew in the front cabin painted by Rafa (lovely work mate :))

I do have t admit I read "revolver for tolkien" and was mighty confused. Now I want wild west middle earth.

Stunning work on that build, its certainly an improvement on the original model. :)

Yes, it’s quite enjoyable using the different mediums to make stuff :)

Yes, that's a really smooth piece of work. It's a good all size too. The client should be happy with that.

I was thinking the same thing, the problem is that most of middle earth is decently established with the cultures they had. You need some sort of new world, but in the LotR mythology the land across the sea is kind of the elven heaven? Which is an option, fast forwards to hobbit gunslingers encountering the descendants of the last elves?
