Still WIP but getting there....
(Early stack from work and late night on baby standby = can't sleep....)
-
That was quick.
I need to add to the creative list. ;)
-
Excellent.
I will need to look it up.

Period cars (reusable for later period)?
-
Quite well set up for period cars here but a Lambro would be a nice touch. I have a 1960s Daihatsu Midget but Lanbros were very popular.
-
OK just the propellor to go now, the rest is done (I think)
Detailed pics are hard to find and I've had to guestimate what some bits are supposed to be.
I'm also going to make the universal MG mount for use as an option.
Not going to make the up armoured version though, that was a field improvisation - you can improvise your own! (Unless someone really really wants it...)
-
very nice indeed. Would second period cars!!
-
Feel free to petition Empress ;).
Their current build list will keep me busy for some time yet!!

Petition us on our Empress thread. Poor old Richard is on one of our giant hamster wheels running very fast as it is ;)

All done and now with MG mount
-
Ooh, now that's a funky little duck!
Any record of these being seen in the Battle of Hue?
-
Nope. Logistics vehicle. That said they saw quite a bit of use.
-
No idea - I just draw the things ;D

The Otter was only ever in service with the United States Marine Corps (USMC) who deployed the vehicle in Vietnam with the first 33 vehicles arriving in Danang in 1965. These Otters were assigned to 3rd Motor Transport Bn, 1st Marine Division Fleet Logistics Support Command, 1st Marine Brigade. Usually, three to four M76s were assigned per Infantry Battalion.
The vehicle’s most prominent role was in the 1968 Battle of Dai Do in the Dong Ha sector. A Battle in which Captain Jay R. Vargas was awarded the Medal of Honour. This would later be the recorded in Keith Nolan’s ‘The Magnificent Bastards: the joint Army-Marine Defense of Dong Ha 1968.’

When its done, will you make an'otter vehicle? :)
-
That’s an otterly appalling pun.
-
Tracks printed overnight, they look OK at first look. They are over an inch wide by the looks of it!
-
This vehicle has to be done because its super cute.
-
The most ridiculous tracks yet.
-
They'll be a pain to cast as is!
-
This is why I print then, it's much easier to see the problems! I'll extend the back of the wheels to meet the back plate, reduce the undercut behind the front wheels and thicken the tracks up, I'll probably fill in the holes too.
-
That is amazing.
-
First print. Has some issues but good enough for a draft.
-
Another view
-
Now... would you want opening rear hatches or not? Problem is it'll be a shallow depression behind them which will be hard to disguise.
-
Would be thrilled with that, as is.
-
The driver and commander hatches open ;) I'll leave it at that unless the customer wants different ;)

For me, not particulary interested, unless it makes it easier to mould.
Now the roof hatches, that might be interesting for anyone after a cheap ACAV.
It does look very good.
-
Won't make it easier - it'll add to the part count though!
Mk2 tracks are very nice (and a bit more sturdy)
Hull mk2 on the printer now.
-
very nice indeed

Found a video of the Otter on youtube:
