Title: Bolt Action AAR (Picture Heavy)
Post by: racm32 on December 01, 2019, 01:52:44 AM
Had a fun game of Bolt Action for our Nov game though sadly ran out of time and couldn't play it through to the end. After advancing through the night the US army launch a dawn attack on a strategic cross roads. Their main objective was to capture the large house overlooking the crossroads and the bridge. The US forces failed to seize the initiative and saw German reinforcements poor into the area. German MG42 gunners cut into the the US infantry under the mournful gaze of local Mother Merry statue. The arrival of a US Sherman help shift the tide until it crossed the sites of a lethal Pak40. Game ended just after the start of turn 4 (of 6) with the US still struggling to take the initiative from a disorganized German force uncertain of the direction of attack.

Nice table, looks like a proper narrative game.
Also nice to see anti tank guns in a bolt action force, far more realistic than a bloody big howitzer you normally see  lol
