Somehow I feel like building something again...
-
I would be into it. I didn't even know about the last one...
-
i'm in ...
-
I would like to try.
-
In like Flint
-
If the theme fits then I would probably be in.
-
Sure. Let me check the rules vs. my calendar and discuss it with the Corps of Moderators.
-
Depends on the theme if I am in or not

I am open to suggestions.

Have we had a water theme? like "anything that floats"

Yes, we've had water but I am not sure we've done floating devices. Let me look...

Personally I like themes which is are a challange to make look good on a gameboard.
Here's a list which is passed on since last years BSC:
Speed
"HISTORICAL ACCURACY TO SCALE."
WWI
Peace
Animal
Vegetable
Mineral
Earth
Poisonous
Spotted
Production
Noise
Wreck, Broken
Exit
Small
Pringles tube
Computer fan
Box of matches
Trees
Generic terrain
Plant life, Vegetation
Difficult terrain, broken ground, obstructions
Bunkers
Warmachines.
-
Difficult/broken terrain would be what would immediately be useful for me. But Pringle’s tube sounds like a great challenge. It would be fun to see what people can get out of a Pringle’s tube.
-
I would probably participate in something like this. It seems like it would be fun to build something for one of my projects.
-
When and what was the last one doesn't seem that long ago
I would be up for it as usual :D
-
Bit bored of Pringles myself (I'm on number five for the club.)

Something like this....

-
I'm always up for some building :D
-
lol
Nicely done sir. A solid and useful transformation.
However I don't think the old guard are prepared for the return of 'Wizards tower ' style projects(you'll have them all in cold sweats. At the mere mention of those two words.)
-
As others have said, I would participate if the subject fit with my gaming table. I'm not in need of any wizards towers lol
-
I'd be a strong maybe for BSC2020, although admittedly I said the same thing about the current LPL and had to bail.
-
No wizards towers here...

Didn't you used to do lasercut styrene kits to make Pringle's tubes into towers? I remember being impressed that you'd managed to lasercut styrene sheet, which I'd read elsewhere was not possible...

Yup, that was me. Though I outsourced the laser cutting and did all the design myself.
It's not impossible, but it is tricky as the styrene is a thermoplastic so it is very sensitive to temperature changes, and the laser power and feed rates are very sensitive,
-
It's not what I ment. A similar build something was plagued with them. ;)
Do I remember correctly didn't you have a pdf/kit for these ?(I remember the walls and had them in mind for my Warhammer walls but the life of me couldn't remember who's thread it was.)

Yes laser cut kits that you assembled to household rubbish items like pringles tubes and ben and jerry's ice creaam tubs. The walls and gateway are in the picture above

I’ll be in it,whatever the theme. :)

Vegetation, last jan-feb.
-
*watching* (from behind the sofa) o_o
-
Mebbe.
-
I'm in.
Sounds interesting.... but build what? Any guidelines?
Z
-
I'd be interested depending on what the topic ends up being. I need to build terrain anyhow! Difficult terrain might be interesting too! :D

The guidelines are normally announced with the theme. Have a look at previous contests for an idea of what's involved.
-
Depending on theme, I may have a go.....
-
I am tentatively in, depending on schedule.
Lon
-
I am tentative too. I do not think work will get in the way again this year.
-
count me in - ages since i built anything.
-
Depending on theme I am game!
-
I'd love to give it a shot.
I bloody made it through the LPL this time!
-
What will it be?

The contest will be themed. Take a look at previous years rules and I think you will get the idea.
-
Still on a high from having gotten through my first LPL unscathed, I am very probably in!
-
I would hope to take part; theme and real life permitting. :)
-
I'm interested. LPL made me want to build some terrain for my figures.
-
January is likely to be a car crash for me, but I’ll do my best to make an entry
:)
-
Probably up for it, depending on the theme. Got another long-term build project for Facebook already, might as well do more than one as long as I've got my tools and supplies out of storage.
-
Very interested, January has only a few blips, but otherwise free. o_o
Hopefully something interesting!
Cheers
Matt

I suspect the one on FB is separate.
There, the challenge is to come up with some sort of Sci-Fi tank, in 1/100th (15mm scale), by next December.
More details are listed on the 15mm Sci-Fi Minis group (can't recall the exact title, sorry).

Nothing to do with LAF and the venerable BSC.

Yep, nothing to do with LAF, but it had me dig out my modeling tools and supplies, which had gotten pretty buried over the last year.

The group's over here if anyone wants in on that one: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Stargrunt2/ Jason Arana Sr. is orgainizing it, and has been bumping the main post regularly so Facebook doesn't devour it. Got till late next year, so not exactly a rush job.
