So, I want to build a wall of hanging chainsaws (don't ask, it's a rather dumb commercial that plays here in the States), and I need a source of just that - chainsaws.
Anyone know where I can get them at a reasonable cost? I really don't want to have to try and cast one off of a painted figure.
-
I think the commercial was cute. This company sells one https://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/modern-equipment-pack
-
Hasslefree do one:

Or if you can get hold of the old wargames factory / project Z(?) survivor packs they had several on the sprues.
-
How many of them are you after? I can spare 8 from the above mentioned Project Z weapon sprues however I'm in the UK so postage to the states might be a factor.
-
Got to be 3d print fodder that...
-
Wargames Foundry did one as 'ramage' in their street violence packs - they turn up on eBay fairly often as part of lots

Ideally, about 10. I have found 3 in my collection (of the female survivor sprue mentioned above - which I had forgotten until now). Considering the best I found otherwise is one for around $3 each, a padded envelope is likely to be cheaper.

I can send you the 8 that I have. The ones on the male and female sprues are exactly the same size. Postage to you would be £3.50 non tracked.
Send me a PM if you're interested.

I’m in the US and may be able to locate a few from the survivor sprue as well. PM me if you are still in need.

Silly question, but what kind of commercial are you talking about? Anything zombie-related?

Car insurance. Plays off the dumb choices the victims make in slasher movies.

Thank you, Corporal Chaos and MagpieJono for helping me realize a crazy damned idea. This is totally going to be a plot point for a Pulp Alley game.
-
Very happy to help.

Step by step shows up in my other thread.

:o That is OUTSTANDING! I certainly wish I could play a game with you...
-
I'm here in Oregon - drop in anytime. :D
-
I like it ;)
-
Came out great, looks like a good place to hide to me lol
-
Thanks. It's my wife's fault - she put the thought in my head.
How I built it is in the the end of this thread.

Nice.
Lots of variations.
-
Great work, it looks like the perfect up lace for numbskull kids to hide.
-
Yeah. God forbid you go for the running car... lol

Finding a 1/56 scale convertible mini cooper is surprisingly difficult.

So, found it in 1/43 and Matchbox brand/scale.
But Siku makes a Mini Cooper Cabriolet. Siku is what 1/55 scale as i recall? Right?

It might be, but I am trying not to break the bank here, and Siku is not easy to find in the States.

Too true. I was referring though to the sillyness of the commercial and did not mean to imply anything lacking in your wonderful diorama! I am sure it would make even a matchbox version look fine.
-
I'm just going to use one of my little cars for it - they feel more Falloutish than a Cooper.

I think that would be Ace! Those are just as cool if not more so. I hope you will share a few pictures of the game when it happens.
