Has anyone tried using Fistful of lead for a game of Jugger?
I'm just reading through the core rules, but I think it could work.
The leader is your Quick, the specialist can have the chain and the 3 regulars are blockers/strikers. There might be useful traits in the other books?
Depending on the size of the playing field a round could be a 3-4 hands, or something like that?
Any plastic miniatures could be converted to Juggers, but GW's Warcry range has some fairly post apocalyptic looking models, even one wielding a net :)

Just finished painting up another Jugger team because I just watched the movie again, love that show

I found that after a lot of googling, but I already own FFoL and I like the fact that it can be used for anything from ancients to star wars.
I might buy the pdf, just for inspiration :)

Convertions or are there Jugger miniatures out there for purchase?
Zenit Miniatures have a game called Nemesis that keeps coming up in searches, but apart from a handful of miniatures, they dont look like juggers to me.
I love the movie too and back in the late 90's and early 0's I played a lot of jugger games with my old LARP group.

Playtested something similar over the hoilday break. We called it Canon Ball! A game bored soldiers played during sieges. Grenadiers were heavy hitters, skirmishers your catchers, etc. Fistful of Lead made a fun game. Thinking we’ll release as a freebie. Looking at some miniatures to sculpt up.

Add the rules for Jugger and you're almost there:
Only quicks can handle the ball with their hands, blockers can hit it with their weapons.
A games is 3 halfs.
You score by placing the skull on your opponents stake.
I'll have to tinker around with the size of the field and how many turns a half is, which it probably best done by a bit of simple math and some of playtesting.
There might be something with injury tables/hit point and interactions with the skull (though there are oddly few of those in the game), but I havent read through the rulebook yet, so it might well be covered by existing rules.
It might be helpful work up a few specific traits, maybe some specific rules for weapons, armour and equipment, and a progressions system for campaign/tournament mode would be fun too.
If you do a freebie, you could add a few sports related traits?
I might set the game in a fantasy setting though as I think spear/double handed weapon wielding miniatures look easier to convert to blockers. It also means greater options in plastic miniatures (and my bits box). Thankfully Jugger is pretty much setting agnostiv, much like FFoL :)

The authoritative version of the game. Accept no substitues!

Highlander Studios (Rod Campbell) released a range of 15mm Juggers for "Qwik" the THW rules mentioned above but they seem to have vanished.
One of my "...should have picked those up when they were around" regrets, would really like a set to mess around with.
