Sometimes I wish I didn't have to work... I could amuse myself for weeks when I'm inspired....
Something for Pulp/Maximilian 1934 just for fun.
Once the basics are done I plan on adding a tail gunner and or gun blisters like a PBY Catalina :D

OK need to come up with a gun fit that won't disturb the lines too much.
I'm thinking a simple gun well at the rear with an MG on a swing mount, a central roof mounted swing mount MG and possibly a passenger MG through the windscreen? Or maybe swap the lamps over the cab for fixed forwar MGs?
Other option was gun blisters like a PBY Catalina or waist gun positions like a B17?
Open to suggestions though!
Also some alternate plans for a Bus version with windows down the side

A faired cupola/well sitting at the back there would look great, overhanging where the lines drop at the back slightly but mirroring those shapes. The gunner would look amazing perched at the back there.
Personally I'd leave the headlights alone - they add a lot to the original look.
Catalina waist-bubbles would be cool (ideally as an optional add-on) but how would you handle the glass?
I really 'need' one of these :-)

Not sure I follow your suggestion for the gunner, but I'll haev a go, I was jsut basically going to sink a hole into the back and add a bit of a rim to it lol
The blisters would either be frames only (Flimsey) or 3d print clear (tricky to keep clear)
If they were to be made then they'd have to be frames only in white metal I reckon for robustness.
A proper challenge to cast!

It did cross my mind. Wasn't that utterly useless as the theory of slick tyres on snow was fatally flawed? (Who'd have thought!)

If it's more for pulp type games why not go that little further and treat it like an early bomber.

Looking at the first photo... the hatch at the back; is that for engine access? If not, have it open with a standing rear gunner and a simple pintle mount could work. Plus a dorsal ring mount on top.....

I can't tell if my first post has all the pics, just in case: they did exist!
With the cab 6 ft in front of the axle I doubt they were a pleasant ride though!
No trace of them left now though sadly. Apparently there were somehting like 6 built. Ended up on airfields where the low profile was useful and I guess scrapped.
Yes engine is right at the back - but it doesn't stop me altering things - afterall it doesn't have to be a tanker!
I'll finish the base model first.

What about a small remote controlled turret on the top
like a B 29? It would fit the streamlined style.

First print done. Minor cockup as there is a nasty void behind the rear tyres that's proving ahrd to clean out of resin! It's now leaking resin gently... and soa few problems with supports and wonkey bits as I decided to print it as a single piece.
I'm printing a second one now, hopefully without the same problems!
