Well I had to get back into the ECW after seeing Captain Bloods marvellous figures. So I decided on Bicornes dragoons, painted as a blue coated regiment. I tried to put a lot of variety into the colours, to make a rag tag of royalist rabble. I've ordered a flag for the bearer, still waiting for delivery. Anyway I hope you like them.

Really super. :-* :-* The inspiration seems to have worked. :D
-
Lovely stuff Craig :)

Lovely work :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Lovely :-* :-* :-*
Bicorne are one of my top choices for the ECW.
-
Well, I’m glad my figures gave you a nudge in this direction, cos they are bloomin lovely :-*
Well done sir! Beauties.
-
Very nice work.
-
Thanks lads, glad you like them Captain. I'm waiting for another order to start my Newcastle Whitecoats. Here's a couple more photos for now.
-
They look brilliant! Love the colours. They make a really nice unit. Looking forward to seeing the Lambs :)
-
These are excellent, love the colours and composition of the unit.
-
class figures - class paint-jobs.
lovely subtle character in the faces.
-
Lovely unit, love the colours, inspiring work. The detail on the faces are amazing :-*
-
Funnily enough I have just had the same set of figures come through - I chose the dragoons in wide brimmed hat.
My only real wish is that for people (like myself) who will not be getting loads of figures is that Bicorne did some packs of figures with random headwear - I spose its the way the moulds are configured and its not a major problem.....

The standard bearer (and possibly the drummer as well ? ) appears to be slightly smaller than the other figures : is that so or is it just an impression ?
Their being smaller would be good news as this would make them compatible with the shorter TAG miniatures also sculpted by Nick Collier.

. If they are smaller it's only very slightly. I've just received some Scots pikemen, these are a little smaller and would fit with TAG figures.
Thanks again for all the nice comments, I love painting faces as I used to paint a lot of portraits.
I'm working on my Newcastle White coats now, should have a few photos up in a week or so.
-
The first of my Newcastle White Coats. I painted different hues of white for their coats, but it doesn't show up too good on the photos. More ordered.
-
They look just right.
-
Very nice.
-
Like the Newcastle Whitecoats, congrats!

Lovely work Cid :-*
I love Bicorne and the old Renegade ECW ranges. Great sculpts and very interchangeable..... I just wish Renegade would reemerge :(
-
The Marquis of Newcastle, a Bicorne Robert Bertie figure with green stuff hair transplant 😂
Also my Dragoon standard bearer finally gets his flag.
-
Splendid. That figure does look better with hair ;)
-
Wow - fabulous looking figures. They all look like miniature portraits!
The lambs look ready to dye their coats in the blood of their enemies :D
-
Excellent. The hair transplant looks good. Maybe I should try Green Stuff on my own head.

I have to agree, it completely changes the figure.
Thanks again for all the positive comments, I'm starting my White coats command base and more pikemen, photos soon hopefully.
-
Newcastle foot command base. The flag has come out a bit lighter in the photos, it's dark blue/black in reality. I gave the drum some Toon diagonal stripes.😂
-
The eyes, the mustaches, the stubble, the skin tones! That's some amazing work, faces are polarizing.
-
Nice :)

. Thanks, I love painting figures faces.
Another standard bearer and a couple more officers, for my Newcastle regiment.
-
The last of my Whitecoat pikemen, musketeers next. I'm also working on some royalist highlanders.
-
Is the redhead wearing that silly Scottish wig you get from souvenir shops?
Lovely variety of whites and off whites, hard to do properly that!
-
Nice :)

Thanks mate' objective achieved.

They look great 8)

TAG musketeers, not much difference in scale with the Bicorne Scots figures, unlike the English giants. Also a Scots horseman. Sorry about the photos, I need a new iPad.
-
They look great.
The collection grows! :D
