Apologies if this is somewhat self indulgent
But sat here surrounded by 30odd yrs worth of collected “stuff”
Most of which has never seen the outside world,
So wondered if it’s worth starting a virtual ramble through the collection, if it’s of interest
Mostly fantasy, mostly 80’s/90’s citadel stuff and newer bits that caught the eye
Paint work variable- some good, some tired and some looking a tad worse for games injuries now
Anyway- Here’s a few from a very Chambers inspired Skaven army
-
I like them 8)

Do it! ramble through everything!
All of it.
Indulge away. We will indulge by looking.
You have time, and we don't mind seeing it. most of us will either have them, want them, or just damn well enjoy seeing someone else's mountain of them.
-
Love them
:)
-
Heck yeah, share away. It's inspirational and fun to see what others are up to. Closest we'll get to a proper convention this season.
-
Remainder of the Skaven army- which I clearly need a few more of now...

Brill 8)

Some lovely old figures there. The screaming bell model is wonderful.
-
Brilliant stuff! Looking forward to more virtual rambling through your collection :-*
-
Lovely! So great old skaven in there too. :D
-
Brilliant!

Some wonderful old classics in there, all suitably dark and dirty....my favourite flavour!
:D
Love your take on the Bell too.
:-*
-
Ah proper Skaven!! Lovely!! :)
-
Cool, always like Skaven!
-
That's amazing mate! Brilliant job and I love the "Screaming Bell"!
I've just started building an exact same kinda ary made of C47 and 4th edition Skaven so this is an excellent inspiration.
-
:D
Glorious.
What other treasure you got hiding in that loft?
-
Very nice. I love the plague priest. I don't think I ever took pictures of my Skaven forces other than the ones I painted last month. Not that they are quite as nice as yours but still, probably worth doing.
-
Newer plastic types
Clearly have a brown paint habit :/
So a few, non brown, things as well to liven it up
-
Great stuff :)
-
That Witchfinder is a great looking character. Very nicely posed figure.
-
Definitely one of my favourite armies
If a proper pain in the arse (hands) to move around
With a wip ogre I found in the desk ::)
-
Great brushwork!
-
Spendid! More please.
-
great stuff.
love the brown cowls on the goblins - much better than the 'official' black.
-
Been playing lots of Warcry with the kids
Not quite Realms of Chaos but quick and fun and some great plastic to mess around with
-
An impressive collection, and some beautiful paint jobs
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Skaven - love the screaming bell

Few from the archives

Thrudd has shrunk since I last saw him, age will do that I suppose.
-
Found a few more of the Skaven lurking in the shadows of the loft
Never did get one of the old Jezzails- will have to hunt eBay
And some Norse and Ninja - which were always fun mercenaries and allies in 3rd
-
Great thread - love it! So many nice models, and so well painted and presented. Thanks!

Amazing work! It's really nice to see all the metal skaven painted so well, I had a lot of them as a youth but zero painting skill! Brilliant take on the newer plastics as well, your Tzeentch bits are gorgeous and I really like what you've done with the untamed beasts.
-
Look great.
-
Khazad “Doom” because they’ve mostly sat in the box of doom on and off for 30yrs
Definitely my pet terror project
Favourite figures of all time, terrified of messing them up
Re Paint the odd one every yr or so, and back in the box
Seen too many good versions (mostly on the forum here to be fair)
Maybe if I post my shame I’ll get them done and have an army to finally fight the Skaven
-
The ones you show already painted are FANTASTIC, so be confident that once you get commited to finally paint them you'll do a good job.
-
+1 what he says.
They are great, they are your work, get them all done to that level, have pride and confidence in your abilities (as others are looking at them thinking "damn I can't do them that well", and play with them!
-
Splendid stuff :D

Really great painted old school miniatures in your collection. I think you have a very own painting style that stands out most on your skaven miniatures. But it also works pretty well with the other miniatures you have painted. Get yourself free from what other people are doing as it will never work that well for yourself. Stick to your own style and I am sure your doomed dwarves will look as great as the other parts of your great collection.
Keep it going.
Cheers
Alex

Took the kick up the backside and started work on the dwarves
Enough for a quick patrol game tonight
Reworked a bit of a grimmer/dirtier look- definitely happier and more my style, can’t do clean and shiny!!
-
Great stuff!
-
Very nice. Always nice to see older models (with, IMO more character).
-
Smashing
Ramble on dear sweet natured tour guide :)

Quick Warcry band for half term holiday campaigning, not done well in the warm up games, but upholding some old school honour at least
