Nicely done! They sure do look dangerous....dangerous to pick up and move! Plenty of pointy, sticky things does make it look like a formidable block. :)

It's great to see Steel Fist miniatures en masse at last.
Realistically, how long does it take to paint one of these large units? (48 models per unit is it?)

I second Charlies question and while you are answering, could you please shed some light on your painting technic.
I really like that you blend the dobbeltsöldners in to the unit. I always wanted to do that myself, but always end up basing then separately because many of the games call for them to be on separate bases.
Other than that, the unit looks great :-* :-* :-*. I totally envy your painting speed and commitment to this project.

once I get going I will take about 2 weeks for a unit of these. They are a little fiddly, pikes to cut to length, normal clean up, and then the SF figs usually need the neck drilling out and filling with greenstuff prior to sticking on the head and the odd hand needs drilling. So 6 a day is not too much trouble + basing etc. When I was recently doing Swiss I was managing twice as fast. The lockdown helps, I guess.
The main problem is that they are Landsknechts!...no block painting of similar figures, they are all different...one thing I did notice was it seemed to work best visually and from a painting point of view to keep the number of colours on a figure to a minimum, say 3 or 4 at most and have some figures with only 2 or 3 basic colours. Also, I seem to use a lot of white plus a colour rather than colour + colour for slashes etc - makes it less mental

6 a day, including basing!!! It takes me about 2 weeks to do 8 infantry or 4 cavalry. How many hours does it take you to do these 6 in one day?
I always do something every evening, not sitting at the painting desk for 2 hours straight, but perhaps 1 or 2 hours work spread out throughout the evening? I always plan to get lots done at the weekend, but it never quite works out like that.
I'd love to be able to paint faster, perhaps just double my speed, so I can get units finished quicker. I think maybe the answer is to just have longer uninterrupted sessions. No distractions!
