All,
I was browsing in a local dollar store yesterday, and came across a bag of cheap army men. In the bag was a knock off Timmee M48. I took the tank, gave it a wash of dark, forest green, then a heavy dry brush of earth color. I added some sandbags, and a crude, scratch built .50 cal mg. I think it will look perfect with my Gringo 40s Marines. Here is he result -

Can't be that price! Good find and good sprucing up of the model...

Looks great!
Love the M48.
How does it scale out with 28mm figures, and/or against the real world model?

Here is a photo of the tank next to a Black Scorpion cowboy.

Cool !!!
Thank you for taking the time to take a few pics and share them with me.
Looks like they go together well, as suspected.

They do seem to be tough to find though. I went back to get another for a friend, and there were none there.

I've used those TimMee tanks for gaming before - they scale very nicely. They are being made again and are available on Amazon (more than $1.00 each but still pretty cheap). There is also an armored car they make that works well as-is or modified for sci-fi or near future gaming.

I have several of these, but have not painted them up.

I thought the base plastic color was fine. I simply washed it with a dark forest green, and they dry brushed it.

I found the same one a few years ago!

I got given one yesterday! I measured it against specs from 2 different websites and the hull does scale out around 1/56, although the gun is a little short. The worst part is the configuration and look of the wheels. I might have a play around and see what I can do with it.
