Title: Taiping Allies- Miao and Nien

I've posted some pic's and stat's for the Miao tribes and the Nien rebels who both sometimes allied with the Taiping.  The stat's are for Field of battle 3 and Taiping Era. The figures are 15mm and are from Irregular Miniatures.  If it's of interest here is the link.

Really interesting looking at these ... so much I “don’t know” about the Rebellion but need to read up on! Pics like this getting me really interested!

There's so much about it that all of us don't know.  I don't doubt that there are copious Chinese records but not much seems readily accessible in translation.  What we have enables us to have a go at gaming the period and it is great fun.

Hopefully more info will come along.

Really nice looking figures. As OB says there's enough known for us to give it a go. After all , there is a Flashman novel!
