Cheers, it was something we used to see in all compounds. Yellow palm oil containers, they used it for cooking etc and then used the empties to make IEDs with, very environmentally conscious :)

Thank you Paul, it's easy with Tony's great sculpts. I base them all on dust/sand from outside my tent in Nar e Seraj, I'm still desperately hoping for someone to say it's the wrong colour for Afghanistan lol

I do a similar thing with my WW2 Normandy terrain. Must make it clear that I got the sand off the beaches a few years ago. I am not that old to have been there in 1944 ;)

Cheers mate, it's Vallejo Dark Sand base, Green Ochre squiggles. For variety on the body armour etc Iraqi Sand base and Green Brown squiggles. All with a thinned sepia wash and just the base coat highlighted. It's a bit lighter in reality, the light wasn't great when I took these.
-
Well I done! :D
-
Very atmospheric!

Any reason for the plain helmet cover in the Int Corps vignette? Or has it just come off - I couldn't get one to fit for 25 years :)

He hasn't got a helmet cover on, that's the colour of the Mk7 helmet. Lots of terps didn't bother with covers. I know what you mean about the tight fit, green tape be my friend lol

A quick chat and brew

Mister! Chai! :D
And there are no Taliban here, they are in the village next door. They are very bad people. And we do not know those men who shot at you when you approached the village. We have never seen them before. Very Bad, Very bad men. They are not from around here. When are you leavening? And what rout are you going to be taking? lol
