Don't really know where to put this, but wanted to post the pictures anyway :)
Westfalia Chris was so kind to sculpt a multi-part steam engine for me, which will be available from Pardulon as soon as I figure out how and where to attach the steam pipes to connect boiler and cylinder, and what material to use. I guess it will boil down to brass wire, but I am open to suggestions.
Here is the first version, a combination of boiler and open cylinder with visible piston:

And the second one, with a closed, a bit more "Victorian looking" cylinder:

Lots of possibilities for these, I think. From "African Queen"-like steam boats to battle wagons to Aeronefs everything is possible. Apart from my shoddy painting, I like these quite a lot.

I really like these, especially the more "Victorian" version. Let us know when these are available>

Note that actual working small steam engines can be obtained that are small enough to work on a game table. Add water and a fuel pellet and the engine will do it's thing for a couple of hours. Just found this out last night at a local train and model store when I was looking for something else. The mind boggles with the gaming possibilties. I was told that many varieties of tiny working steam engines are available, although the store had only one to show.

As said in the other thread, LiveSteam is neat, but gets very, very hot quickly, so qreat care must be taken to prevent accidental touching.

You probably could put working artilery on the table to but part from the Wow!-factor, or perhaps Ouch!-factor I can't see many benefits. :-)
