Very nice stuff! I can feel the call of BoB gaming; I'm already deep enough in to pulp of the same era it's not a huge leap, and inspirational stuff like this doesn't help me resist, you know!

Very nice. I am working on the same thing for a Back of Beyond army except I have added in some German artillery and a German MG team.

Sorry to bring up the thread after so long.  But could you point me to some reading material that would cover your excellent army?  BoB and Hopkirk are becoming very interesting to me.

He was supposed to be a dun. The wash didn't darken it enough.  ::)

So, he's not dun yet?

A henna-dyed horse perhaps? :D

I have somewhere a true story (in an old "Uniformes" French magazine I think) about a North-African cavalry unit arriving in France in 1914, which was ordered to get rid of all its white horses because it was more difficult to conceal them at distance than brown or black horses.
An old Arab NCO was very unhappy with this order because he loved his horse. He said to his captain that he would cover the horse with henna to change its colour so he could keep the horse.
He did that, and ...the horse turned to a VERY shiny copper colour that could be seen miles away :'(

OOops I'm out of topic again  :-X

I like both armies. Actually, I think the toy soldier style of the second one is quite nice and effective with these figures, and I wonder why I spent so much time to paint mines "realistically" (see my post "Another chinese army").
