I was always a sucker for those Eureka Lancers. Nice blacks (dark blues?) on the command group.
-
It all looks really good and I love the Empress models, but I can see I must have to go and highten my standards of painting now ;)
Anyway I will look forward to follow what happens next.
What rules do you plan to use? if any.
-
Bloody excellent, looks like a great start.
Similar to where I'd start, but I'd be too tempted by all the weird stuff. ;D
-
Excellent command group - it's all good but I particularily like the command, especially the portly chap on the right :)
-
Still can't get my thoughts around the Eureka minis for some reason which is highly unlike me! Great paint jobs and a reminder to get painting my own stuff up!
-
As the others said Dags, great start to your project. Have you got any contraptions lined up (other than the blimp)?
-
Thanks all 8)

A couple of Ironclad Steam Tanks - one'll be next along with the rest of the Lancers and a couple of 15mm Black Hat walkers with the weapons replaced with spare Ironclad gatlings
-
Great stuff Dags, makes me want to get a wriggle on with my stuff.

Who makes the fat officer in the first pic?
He's Colonel Marbles on Patrol - a figure that Shane Hoyle did for the Frothers Salute game in '08, a few more were cast and sent out with the last sculpting comp figs but otherwise is unavailiable

Very nice. Complete with polished brass rivets! Ah, the LAF VSF cognoscenti will be wetting their long-johns with delight lol
-
Very cool! Just started painting that very model! You've made me rethink my paint scheme.... In a good way!
-
Very nice. I like the name.
-
Nice NMM effect.
-
Wow, all good stuff. I was just looking at the way I had painted that armoured car and was thinking how it needed a bit more work , hope you dont mind but Im gonna steal some of your ideas! Keep the pics coming , very inspirational.

Super tank! Paint scheme is very cool.

Especially as I'm going to nick your idea for the P.O. Rifles ;)
You'll probably get them done before me too, then I'll look like I'm copying! lol
Great work on the tank, too.
-
Reference the Marbles mini......bummer!!! :'(
Reference the tank.............Excellent work!!! :-*

Excellent work on the tank. The NMM is very well executed, not something you see on VSF models very often.
I too like the name. :)
-
Wow...thats like....the best steam tank.....ever.......... :-*
-
Another Steam Tank.....

Lovely stuff, Im gonna pinch some ideas off that too.....I have decided painting individual rivets is not one of them. :D

-
Really nice work :-*
I the really like the effect of the painted rivits.
-
Ooooh. That 2nd tank is purtier than the first.
-
Nic epainting, makes the models look really good! Id like to see you do a rusty one.....
-
Cheers, all 8)

A rusty, battle damaged one is on the list to do :)
-
Superb paint job - I've picked out individual rivets on my walkers, but painting them all a different colour is pure dedication lol
-
Finally, an update.... got the lancers finished off;

Awesome!
I'm not sure whether to have any of these in my VSF army, but I think they are a little TOO silly. :?
-
Lovely stuff :-* :-* :-*
Your painting on the metals is outstanding.
How can something in VSF be TOO silly, it is just not possible :D

I think you may live to regret writing that, knowing some of the odd people we get here lol lol
-
Cheers, guys 8)

Thanks. I made a decision at the start of this not to use metalics as I need the practice ::)
-
:-*
What a super collection.
Just keeps getting better and better!
-
Lovely stuff. Great to see this force building up. I especially like the Ironclad tanks.
Eureka Lancers too silly?
Of course they are, and I love them, :D
I have a couple I ordered to check on size compatability, and I'm ashamed to say I haven't painted them up yet :?.
I now feel suitably guilty, and inspired, and fully intend to paint up the two I have, and order some more.
They won't look as good as these, but thats ok, lol.
-
Lovely paintwork on those lancers. I'm on Rob's side here though, they'll never be in my army, they're too silly.
-
I guess you won't be after the Bismatron then? lol
Lunacy, but inspired lunacy:-
