If it's the one with prepainted miniatures and cards we play it, I'll look and see if we have a spare set of rules.

Use the figures with Fantastic Worlds  :D

Seriously, you will need the rules and the stat cards for the figures, both of which I believe can be found online with enough googling.

I was actually thinking of using different rules with the SW miniatures.
I was thinking of using the axctually roleplaying game.

SWMB by WestEnd Games is based and compatible with the RPG.

The Star Wars Miniatures Battles book is compatible with the West End Games Star Wars RPG, not the Wizards Saga System Star Wars RPG. I have the Miniatures Battles book and about 150 or so of the metal miniatures. I think it is a really fun game.

I am also sad that Wizards is dropping their Star Wars RPG line. I need to pick up the books theat I need before they quit making them.

Hopefully Wizards dropping the SW line will mean someone else can pick it up.

It would be nice to be able to buy a pack of just Stormtroopers, rather than the blind boxes and hoping there are Stormtroopers in there.

Agreed - I'd love to have loads of them but would only need a few of the other minis. Themed packs would be the dog's doodahs!

We can but hope.......

Yea, I would love to see some company with experience in plastic multipart frames make a storm trooper box, perhaps with scout/snow options etz, or a clone trooper box for that matter.

Since they look a lot like mine, I'd say they are the galoob "action fleet" ones. Which means they are roughly 25mm scale (like the WEG metals).

Nope, these are Revell snap together kits in perfect scale (the detachable R2 astromechs are exactly the size of the WEG 25mm counterparts).

I remeber many years ago being in my local games shop and picking up those old WEG books, flicking through them and pointing them out to my mates who were big Star Wars fans as well, though they had been corrupted by the Games Workshop disease, and not long after the game store closed....
