If these really are 1/60 and 1/56 I'd be interested in the UAZ 469, the Grad and a couple of the Urals. Do you know if there is a GAZ-69 in the same scale? Do you take paypal?

UAZ HUNTER represents development UAZ 469. Outwardly has few differences. This car is made in Russia since 2003.
Model precisely on the scale of 1/60.
Model GAZ-69 is not made yet.
These models are made in China by request of the Russian firm. A problem that they arrive in a retail trading network blocks on 24 various models. In such block only one model UAZ. The others are models of other civil marks (LADA, NIVA, VOLGA and others). Besides, models are on sale in various colouring - military cars, medical, police, fire and others. Therefore you should place at first the order, which models you wish to get. I buy them in shop and I inform you, that your order is ready to departure. Only after that you send me money for the order.
Under the same scheme models URALs are on sale also.
Unfortunately paypal to Russia money does not send. You can send money by means of the British payment system:
 http://www.moneybookers.com/app/
I already have an operational experience with foreign clients. Problems does not arise. At this forum there are responses about my work:

They have lots of potential! I can see them being very useful in 20thC African or near-future/post-apoc scenarios for example.

The model of the tank, though exactly corresponds to the scale - is a child's toy. For use in wargames require small improvements. Lighting equipment must be removed, repaired the holes on it and restore the missing details on these sites. The barrel of the tank with sliding. But to advance to the full length of the defect prevents him casting. This defect should be removed, and push the barrel and glue.

Likewise. The old bukhanka is a favourite because it's so bloody ugly and I'd like to add one to the collection. It's just a pity nobody makes an appropriately scaled GAZ-69.

Cuprum. Could you do me a favour and take a photo of the rear of the BTR-80 model? I might be interested in some if they aren't too toy like. I can cut off the lights and fill any gaps the turret myself and at a fraction of the cast of the Empress version it's very tempting. I really like the Urals and Zils I bought from you.

Many thanks! Looks like there's nothing there that can't be remedied with some judicious work with filler and plastic card. Much as I love my Imprint BTR-80 $11 USD vs  $38 USD is hard to beat especially when you want multiples.

I agree - a little improvements "greensaff" and a good work brush - get an excellent model.
By the way - it would be good to wash off the factory paint with metal parts of the model. A thick layer of paint - significantly conceals surface relief.

I have that same BTR-80 myself (Chinese sellers have tons of them), though admittedly I should go back and make a new one with better armour. I would note its like 1/56 scale, so not perfect. IIRC you can pick up 1/48th radio controlled ones on Ebay for £20.

Also the same company who do the 1/48 diecasts of Russian cars in this thread do Gaz-69's as well. They're a bit big, but kind of work. Again, EBay's a friend, but I bought mine for £1 from Poundland here in the UK (they had hundreds of those diecasts in stock at one point).

Your model GAZ-69 on the scale of 1/43. He is very big . This model is suitable for 40 mm figures.
Title: Re: Models of Russian military cars for 28 mm
Post by: Wyrmalla on December 11, 2015, 01:23:19 PM
Aye, which is why I only use that as terrain (that soldier's head should be above the door level if it were to scale) . The problem with moderns is finding a good scale, and unfortunately die cast manufacturers seem to just love 1/43rd scale casts over 1/50th. :(

Whilst not Checknya, the below thread covers the very similar Ukrainian vehicles:

http://www.tank-net.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16675

Only difference is the Ukrainians are probably using more actual armour and Mitsubishis. :D
Title: Re: Models of Russian military cars for 28 mm
Post by: cuprum on January 25, 2016, 11:56:02 AM
There is some difference.

Russian in Chechnya was the need to protect the truck convoys from attack by Chechen guerrillas in the mountains. Therefore was are armored standard army vehicles. Chechens improvised military equipment to almost never used.
In Ukraine, a war fought mainly irregular forces on both sides (in the initial period) so they had little real military equipment, and they have booked and armed any suitable vehicles.

Got the package, very quick postage and i just painted up so far 3, very easy to paint, i put the Russian colour on the side of the vehicles as i saw they did this in the Chechen wars on Youtube.

The tram again very simple to paint and i added weathering effect to bring it more to life, very happy with everything that was sent and will be beginning on the four trucks next, will get them up as soon as they are painted, sorry for the poor quality photos, very rushed and i don't think i cleaned the lens.

As far as I know you can only buy Gaz-Tigrs in 1/43rd scale. De Agostini make one, the others are passable toys you can find on Ebay. Bit big though. Pity diecasts are 1/43rd instead of 1/50th (1/55's a bit titchy IMHO).

Though in a smaller scale you're more likely to find Ultra Modern Western Jeeps.

In the catalog of "Technopark" (manufacturer of these model cars) for that year declared a model of an armored car GAZ "Tiger" on the scale of 1/50. But I have not seen this model in the market.

Chechen wars trucks and tractor 28mm

Trucks now completed, i was given a tractor and trailer, looked at first very child like toy but once painted it looked completely different and it can now be used in a field for cover for the Chechen wars or a obstacle on a road blocking the way.

I love the way you can remove the canvas from the trucks, the size is spot on for 28mm miniatures, next its time to paint up those BTR - 80S

In the catalog of "Technopark" (manufacturer of these model cars) for that year declared a model of an armored car GAZ "Tiger" on the scale of 1/50. But I have not seen this model in the market.

When they hit the market let us know. I'll take at least 3 :)

Almost painted up my BTR-80S and the BM-21, i did look around on google and found that some Russian BTR-80 carried flags attached to them, same for the Chechens they seem to have used them also during the conflict.

You seem to know alot about these sort of things, i can create the flags no problem, but what type of flags were they, i don't understand Russian

few examples

I would love to attach these sort of flags to the vehicles, would look interesting on the tabletop

I am interested in military history, and communicate on many Russian military and historical resources. Therefore, I can easily find almost any information from Russian sources. If there is a need - let me know.

In the period of both Chechen companies in use had no official flags. But sometimes used different flags made themselves crews.
In your photo - BMP out of 101 special brigade operative purpose Interior Troops of Russia.

http://www.dishmodels.ru/gshow.htm?mode=P&vmode=T&p=3642&id=39869&tp=g

Only this is the armored vehicle was wearing this flag. This is the flag of the Soviet Union - with written on it - abbreviation the name of this brigade. There are photos a similar banner made already on the background of the Russian flag:

Chechen forces have used different versions of the flag Chechen Republic of Ichkeria:

Payday is tomorrow. I think I will be sending some money to Cuprum
When they hit the market let us know. I'll take at least 3 :)

So I didn't get out of work until 11pm last night. Ordered today. There was a happy bonus as well. The prices on the site display as USD but when it hit Paypal it was in Rubles. It turned out to be about 25% less than I was expecting.

And the reason it was so much lower was it didn't charge me shipping. Oops

Hi Cuprum,
I'm trying to reach your website, but I can't.
Is it closed, or is it due to russian internet being separated from the rest of the world ?
Cheers,
Fred

Alas, the reason is different. My site has been under DDoS attack for the third month and is not available to buyers.
However, I'm in business. How can I help?

Gosh! I hope you'll sort that without damage to your business.

I just wanted to have a look at your  trucks,  but I had a look at the first posts of this thread and it seems that they are in 1:56 scale, and I'm looking for 1:50.

Aniway thanks for your quick answer, and again, best wishes that you can go back to normal business soon.

Fred

I game in 15mm and am curious if you have access to or products (vehicles or terrain) in scales from 1:100 to 1:87 (HO model railroad) or 1:64 (typical die cast cars). I would be interested in a few typical 1950s to present day civilian and military autos, trucks, buses, or similar.

I use HO scale Roco minitanks for some vehicles and find the larger size HO scale cars match the size of my 15mm better. Thank you.

Hey cuprum. The 1/100 trucks and other items arrived tonight. Thank you very much. One question, the BMP 1 has two blue stripes, one side to side and the other the length of the hull plus decals on the turret sides, yellow letters on blue reading MC. Is this the markings for some exercise, special forces or some non government militia markings? Thank you everything arrived in great shape. Well packed.

Hey. I am glad that all models arrived safely!

The blue bar and the letters "MС" mean that this combat vehicle belongs to the peacekeeping forces (Миротворческие силы). Specifically, this variant of the coloring of the BMP was used in the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Abkhazia in 1994.

If this type of coloring does not suit you, you can paint over these stripes. It may even be clearly visible, but this is quite acceptable in reality, when the BMP was withdrawn from the peacekeeping contingent and has not yet undergone a scheduled repair and updating of repainting.
