Happy New Year!

While at home for the holidays I was sorting through my mountain of lead and came across some “Connoisseur Miniatures” (Peter Gilder) British Sudan figures, as I am interested in fighting the Sudan I thought  that I would use these as a core to the collection seeing as I have quite a few!

I did an image search for the Connoisseur range and found this blog, this chap “Duncan” has scanned some old magazine images of the Peter Gilder’s work, these figures may be dated but after looking at these images I have decided to keep and expand on the range!

So much so I have been looking at other Sudan ranges, Perry’s and Old Glory so far, just wondering on peoples thoughts on mixing ranges! I know Redoubt cover the Sudan so I may head over to their site as well! To be honest I really like the Perry’s Camel Corps figures!

Bicorne Miniatures carry the Connoisseur range and will add a few figures to the ones I have to complete the battalions!

The images at “Duncan’s” blog.........
