This November a group of flawless brilliant intellectuals (myself included) is hosting the Horisont III miniatures convention in Esbjerg, Denmark (ferry from Harwich, airport nearby too - Stansted Billund only £35 and we'll drive to the airport and pick you up).
As the insolent snobs that we are, we expect it to be the best convention in the history of history. Again!

Sorry.
Oh well. My own project for this convention (at least the one of them) will be this: Eat or Die - Dinosaur Apocalypse! It's still in development and I'm kind of coming up with the idea same time as I paint the miniatures.
What I have so far is this:
Eat or Die!
The world is dead. Nuclear weapons, plague, zombies, CO2 emissions, computer software updates and religious squabbles have ended it.
Yet as Ian Malcolm of Jurassic Park fame once put it - Life finds a way.
Where once mammals and especially Man ruled the Earth they now share it once again with the awesome behemoths known to 19th century paleontologists as Dinosaurs!
Things are not as swell as in the olden days of the Jurassic though. New species of mutated creatures have developed and poisonous dangers are many and food is scarce.
In this game the players take on the role as a single meat-o-saur during the Apocalypse. The object of the game is to survive as long as possible. Dry and wet seasons will come and go. Food will be scarce and abundant. You will be both the hunter and the hunted. Herds of giant insects, radioactive geckos, un-deactivated military robots, wild men, mutants, even bigger dinosaurs, radioactive slag and undetonated nuclear weapons will be making life hard for you.
Rules: Try-to-survive-assaurus
And a small glimpse of what will be coming soonish:

And yes this image has been shown prior to this thread. I do find it appropriate to show it again as this will be my 'project thread'.

Looking forwards to this Thorbjørn.

You'll have to drag your priestly behind to Horisont then! lol

I managed to finish some geckos today. Not much of an accomplishment as they're prepainted toys that I've just given a rough wash & go.

Primitive men are still a threat to be reckoned with for smaller animals like the Geckos.

The ghost of Steve Irwin will also be featured in the game.
I am certain his ghost is still out there hunting crocs and still will be after the apocalypse.
Any one got a good idea for a model?

This is going to be fun to watch, isn't it?
Hmmm...maybe a Copplestone adventurer?

Hmm had a look through but I wasn't convinced. Shorts, shirt and Luke Skywalker hair.

How nice of you to have found my thread. I had actually lost it myself.
On the update side I'm always happy to disappoint -I have just been moved to a 50 h/w slot sooooo I'm not overly busy with the miniatures.
Do not fret! I will eventually get something done. If all else fails I'll involve Father Christmas.
-
50 h/w ??? What's that?
-
I would guess 50 hours per week
