There are a number of manufacturers who produce some nice 25mm and 28mm scale naval cannons and swivel guns, but not all of them have pics, and I've yet to see any really good, side by side comparisons of them, so thought I'd kick off this topic, in case others are looking for weapons to outfit their vessels, forts, or shore batteries.
Any pics people can provide of their various favorites will be greatly appreciated. You can even include pics of carronades, and mortars/bombards too, if you'd like, since they'll probably be useful too.
I'm especially interested in photos of the various 25mm/28mm naval cannons available from Old Glory.
Perhaps this can be added as another topic, for reference, at the top of the message lists, since I imagine it will be useful for many.
To kick things off, one of my favorite cannon manufacturers is Thomarillion. They make some superb looking, ornately decorated cannon, for your gaming pleasure. These beauties would be especially useful as weapons in a shore battery, or mounted on the walls of a formidable fort. Definitely worth seeking out, if you have the need for superb looking heavy weaponry.
I'll try to post a pic below:

Hmmm, photo didn't come through, but at least there's a link to it.
Feel free to post your own photos, and/or links to them here.

Here's a link to the Old Glory 25mm accessories page, which lists the various cannons they have for sale, e.g. 6, 9, 12, and 18 Pdrs., plus a mixed pack of half-barrels, for outfitting your vessels with:
http://www.oldglory25s.com/index.php?cat_id=93&catname='25mm%20Buccaneer%20-%20Napoleonic%20Wars%20'
Sadly, no pics of them, so if anyone has any to share, that would be appreciated. Would like to know what the various cannons look like.
They also sell a pack of men with swivel guns, in their Pirates range.
I'll post more pics of cannons from other manufacturers in the next day or so.

I'd love to see some photos of the various Old Glory cannons, if anyone has pics of their: 6, 9, 12, and 18 Pdr. guns.
Photos of other cannons not shown above, but suitable for 17th and 18th Century Pirate, and/or naval vessels, or forts would be appreciated as well.

I wanted to add to this thread information about big guns that are/were available that I obtained (first from Richard Huston years ago) but most recently from Old Glory. OG also has a bunch of ships guns and crews available.
Old Glory had available the Huston line of ACW heavy siege, naval and fortification guns. I purchased quite a few to use iron ironclads and n ACW shore battery and Fort Wagner style ACW games/fortifications.
I do not know if Old Glory still offers these as general production or for special orders.
Another source for ACW siege style guns in Triangle Miniatures - T.A. Miniatures guns.
http://triangleminiatures.com/TA.htm
If you would like photos of some of these big guns to see, please reply to me and I will work on posting some for the greater good.
Speaking of Old Glory, does anyone have a photo of a painted example of the OG "Stockade" fort pieces to show for painting styles and colors? Thanks.

TAG's separate barrels on scratch-built naval carriages would be another option.

Does anyone know of any carronades?

The Foundry guns are nice, but crazy expensive, especially to those of us living on the other side of the pond.

I just posted these --- while the carriages don't fit, each box comes with four barrels (two long, two short), meaning you can build or supply your own carriages for them --- or cut them and stick them to the side of your ship for batteries below deck.
^Also, barrels, spare cannon balls, loading rods, etc. A good general purpose box for outfitting a ship.

Empress Miniatures - a naval carronade on land ...

Just received my Ainsty cannon. Very nice castings and detailed models. They were a little small for my oversized ship (I think I will go to Thomarillion for that) but lovely nonetheless. Here are the measurements and a comparison picture with a Foundry pirate:
Length of cannon 30mm
Length of cannon + carriage 34-35mm
Height 15mm (highest point)
Width of carriage + wheels 21mm

The cheapest soruce of 28mm cannon I know is Irregular. You'll find them under their pirate range:
http://irregularminiatures.co.uk/products.php?cat=28mm&sub=Pirates%20and%20Swashbucklers&pid=16&subid=402&page=2
I have quite a few of their 9pdrs. Very nice.
-
Does anyone know a manufacturer of open gunports with a cannon sticking out? Games of War don't seem to make them anymore...
-
Grubby Tanks has the old Britania Miniatures range. It has lots of naval 'bits' Guns, anchors, figureheads etc. Worth a look,
also he is a nice guy.
-
Yes he is great :) I have bought from him before. Really nice.
But I could not find gunports... :(
-
Check out the Blood and Plunder range of canons and swivel guns - they look good value.

Here's my attempt to a paper craft cannon for my ships.
The easy versions ...
You can get it free at https://www.patreon.com/posts/basic-bits-easy-26699680 (https://www.patreon.com/posts/basic-bits-easy-26699680) and build as many as you need!
... and the advanced version in the $1 tier!
Again you can build as many as you like and you can scale the print to make different cannon sizes for different decks!
