Ever since Foundry's Tribes of Legend rules were released I've been interested in Greek Myth gaming. I've been doing an extensive search for miniature sources and have put this together:
Foundry – Foundry has some of the best and worst Mythological minis out there. The release of tribes Of Legend has spurred interest in Greek Myth gaming. Many of the earlier packs feature incredible sculpts that cry our for a paintbrush. Unfortunately the newer releases are of mixed quality. Like them or hate them, Foundry has the largest and most varied variety of Greek Mythology figures.

Reaper – These are just a few of the superb and affordable Myth related miniatures in Reaper’s incredible catalogue. There is a monster for any mythic occasion and the figure finder is a valuable tool.

Bronze Age
I can’t say enough good things about this small range of miniatures. Matakishi recently painted up a few that look amazing. A warning, they are 32mm, a bit bigger that 28mm, but Achilles, Hercules and Perseus should be slightly larger than life anyways. In addition there are some fantastic looking centaurs in the fantasy section.

Chiltern / SHQ
A fairly thorough collection of the Gods and Heroes of Greek Myth originally from Chiltern and now available through SHQ. I was of the opinion that these were fairly low quality, but I realized when I saw the following pictures that with a good coat of paint they could look beautiful.

ShadowForge - Another Australian company that makes some great looking female models. I haven't visited their website in a while and was pleased to see not only female warriors, but Satyrs and Centaurs as well. I was especially impressed with the Dionesean Maenads which seem particularily useful.

Crocodile Games - Wargods of Olympus - A very nice looking range with an interesting mix of Spartans, Titans, Myceneans and Satyrs. Well sculpted although I'm not crazy about the Titans.

Heroclix – there are a handful of useful figures in this large range, on both the DC and Marvel side of things. Here are just a few, Hercules and Ares. I love the Ares Marvel version of Ares in particular.

Fenryll There are several nice models available in resin from Fenryll. They have most of the common Greek monsters and the temple below is lovely and on my to buy list. I was particularily struck by their version of Athena. It is in 54mm scale, but shouldn't the gods be a little bit bigger than mortals? Check out the amazons as well.

Hasslefree – This company has two figures that are usable in a Greek Myths setting sculpted by the talented Kev White, strangely enough both named Artemis. They aren’t supposed to be the actual goddess, but I have to say that they could definitely be used as Goddesses, if not as Artemis herself. The first mini is 40mm scale, but not too big to be an immortal.

Darksword - I have to thank Argsilverson for putting me on to the this particular Game of Thrones model based on the great painting "Birth of Aphrodite" by Botticelli. It will take a better converter than me to greenstuff her back into Aphrodite, but I think that someone should try it. Their Medusa is also quite nice.

Pulp City I just happily stumbled across this fig, the Hellsmith. Could be used as Hephaestus or even Ares. Scale wise he looks to tower over other figures in the Pulp City range.

Gorgon Studios – This small company only has one mini in it’s Mythic World section, Pythia Oracle of Delphi. Thankfully it is a great one. Definitely on my to buy list.

Others - I know that there are many other companies with mythologicaly inspired figs. Centaurs, Minotaurs and Cyclops abound in dozens of different fantasy ranges, too numerous to point them all out here. And I know that there are some obvious companies that I have missed. Barry Minot did an 'Olympians Heroes and Horrors' range in the late 70s / early 80's....not very compatible with todays minis but nice nonetheless.......

Thanks for the suggestions guys. White Knight, thank you for the link to the Iron Wind site. I knew that they had a few minis, but I find their website difficult to navigate. I will be buying Andromeda and the Krake... er Titan in the near future. And the Olympian Heros and Horrors are wonderful, even if the Aphrodite looks like a blow up doll. :) I have updated the Grenadier and Eureka entries. I also added WarGods of Olympus, DarkSword and Shadowforge to the list.

Nice and interesting subject.
I remember there was some Neptune somewhere but still I cannot locate him.
However I would like to add one link . Its the Willie harlequinade range who has some useful bits, like Pan, a greek godess and male and female centaurs, all unarmed, which sometimes can be handy.

Further sources you can find and mostly rather cheaper than actual metal figures.
See the souvenir shops near the main museums with greek and roman antiquities. they usually have some interesting pieces that can be pressed in service.
And last tip: There are some mythical figures in 15mm. Check them some might also be suitable !

With Reaper, the sword are often big, extra-long and unwieldy.... o_o

I don't want to be be anti foundry for the sake of being anti foundry. It's just that their sculptors interpretation of the characters don't match mine, for the most part anyways.

If you're going to get a Talos, why not get the 'real' thing? Xplus made some very nice action figure/statues a few years ago. They're supposedly limited edition, but I got mine on Ebay for about $20USD, if memory serves (maybe 30 bucks total with shipping).

... I've really gotta finish painting that 'Conan' figure one of these days...
You can see how big it is next to a 28mm figure - it even has the awesome little plug on his heel. I think that with a simple light bronze drybrush, the figure would be all set for the tabletop. I'm not really planning on doing anything at all with mine before I use it.

That guy's pretty cool... I've got the kneeling version on the plinth, but not the standing version... it's seriously tempting to get this one, but I really do NOT need three different Talos statues sitting in my house...

I really like that Minotaur!
Also, the Bane Beasts range has a really good Hydra which I have purchased. Quite a big one and relatively inexpensive compared to the other options. I remember starting a thread about Hydrae which is kicking about somewhere. Some nice pics there, too.

And it looks like there is another option for Perseus out there. I dig the sculpt but I am still more of a fan of the Bronze Age one. That said the only one I own is the Reaper one that I am not a huge fan of, stupid low impulse control. This one from Morland Studios looks like it might be more useful for a diorama than a playable mini, as the Kraken head and waves look huge. Still cool though, and hopefully we will see more Greek themed stuff from Morland and their Howard David Johnson licensed line.

There is no beating the Gamezone harpies, though, I feel. Lovely creative, dynamic poses and they basically paint themselves.

These and Gamezone ones are too different to be compared, I feel. These are just daemonic but with perfect dynamic. Gamezone ones are much prettier females but not that perfectly sculpted and not that evil.

If you're going to get a Talos, why not get the 'real' thing? Xplus made some very nice action figure/statues a few years ago. They're supposedly limited edition, but I got mine on Ebay for about $20USD, if memory serves (maybe 30 bucks total with shipping).
I got mine from a rummage bin at Cold Wars for $5, and a Kali from one of the Sinbad films also $5.

as I got the impression that this might be the right post for my question, I'll simply leae it here: Quite a while ago I saw a miniature named "Hero in blue" but wherever my search lead, I'm simply not able to fnd it anymore. Does anybody have an idea where the mini with that particular name might be from?
It's nothing special, a guy on foot with sword and shield in greek style, helmet looking mostly late corinthian style.

No. This also does not seem to be greek style. Thank you.
EDIT: I've attached a picture of a similiar style mini. There's a couple that can emulate that, as are some plastic sprues that can build this, but I am 100% sure that I've seen an actual mini in this style.
