Nor me!

Is it any wonder it has died a thousand deaths when folk like us who actually know what it is about can't be bothered?

I hope the real one and not the <shudder> remake. I've even read the book. It's a hoot.

And I haven't seen it either.

You people are who Disney should blame for making this film a flop.

I asked my missus if we could go, because I had a voucher, the nearest cinema that accepted it is an hour away, so we're just going to wait for The Hobbit to come out.

Let me hijack this thread to state that while I haven't watched the movie, the track listing of the official soundtrack is full of incredibly lame puns (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/IncrediblyLamePun), such as "Thark Side of Barsoom", "Carter They Come, Carter They Fall", "A Thern Warning" and "Thernabout".

Wow.

I know I shouldn't be here. I went.

But, well, wow. I am in awe.

I keep forgetting to go see this one in the theater on the weekend. It will probably be gone before I remember to do so.

I guess I'm contributing to the low attendance numbers that will help prevent Disney from producing a Slaves of Gor movie...

I've not seen it a second time, am I allowed to post here?   :)

I did however go out with a girl called Alison Carter (no relation) when I was a lad.

I wouldn't worry too much. According to Mark Kermode it's virtually impossible for a big money effects driven movie to lose money, that's why we get so many.

I did not see John Carter
I did not see it twice
I watched instead
Another film

It wasn't very nice.

It was a Burroughs book
and had a Nazi sub
Dinosaur Island was it called
And by the end
My clothing was in tatters
My mind it was appalled
My eyeballs had peeled in horror
And I couldn't scan poetry any more

AAAAAARRRRRRggghhhh - It was AWFUL
