This is my latest WIP 2 new buildings that will stand as a centre piece to any city fight 300mm plus high, they will form part of my magnificent ruins range. they will be sectioned so you can have the floorplan as big as you require.
i will post more as i get the pieces finished

Nice nice indeed, Berlin will fall again and again with these! ;)

Amazing details!

*Engaging waiting pattern*
-
i promise you this they won't break your banks for sure
-
Man, this is what many people has been looking for, for a long time! If you manage to keep the price low you're going to sell a city of them! And I'll be on of them. Keep it up!
-
They're lovely. Added to the list of things I just might purchase if and when funds allow.

Funny, I was just thinking of London.

Insert doomed city of choice!

:o wow!!! well done ,great can wait ???

This building will eventually be made up of four main sections this addition (the right section) being the smallest

-
That looks rather fantastic! :o
Any other scales in plans? ;D
-
wow... =) Great job! (don't worry , i'll answer your email soon! =))
-
28mm scale first then i will downsize to 15-20mm, but we are talking a month or two think for other scales
-
Good to hear, these would be so useful for so many settings. Good things come to those who wait...
-
the first set fresh out of the mold, i could do with you brain feed guys on pricing.

i'll get the glue out later and make a section so you can see it how its meant to look
the middle section you see is angled at 45 degrees to give an angled corner to the piece and was inspired by

Absolutely gorgeous.
-
wo-hoo!
Pricing is an hard question: this building is far from being ready to play, on the other side i don't think there is something else this huge on the market! =)
-
I think regular pricing for stuff is like how much it costs plus 10 percent but its really up to you. if your just trying to get people to have some really nice terrain just charge the cost it took to make the buildings or if your a business tycoon charge a 40 percent mark up or some other nonsense.

I don't understand, what do you mean with "how much it costs"?

production cost ?
-
Yeah, I would start by figuring out your production costs to start with (time + materials, including wear & tear on molds), then see what the price is and figure out what sort of premium/multiplier best balances "fair price" and "actually earning an acceptable return".
The definition of acceptable is of course up to you.
-
I reckon just charge enough so that you can pay for the supplies and churn out some other brilliant looking terrain
-
well, i think that the fair price should be considered compared with the marked firstly. if i see a piece i consider his price related with the other options around, and i really don't care about the condiction of the sculptor and the producer! =)
Beside of that, if you are a home-caster, you can think to sell a limited number of casts of a product (20-30, not 2000!). So 10% is quite low, because IF the sale goes as you expected you will earn 3 times the price of the product. that's quite few, isn't it? =)

Bubbles, casting is a pain, expecially for a sculptor. And the sculpt you do has a value, which is pretty high. He might not be a tycoon, but still he might want to earn some money from his work!
-
well some good food for thought and honest too which is what i wanted, basically i want to sell a few to justify the actuall making of them in the first place and it helps me to move forward and make some more, the 28mm scale is something i have only dabbled with as storage space alone gets doubled from lower scales. i think i will go and have a think, my thoughts were originally about £20 plus postage for one frontage
-
That's quite a reasonable price, i think. =)
-
painted at last, a floorplan rubble and some ruined floors and it should look just right

Those look very nice! If this was my table, I'd make a removeable rubbled panel for the ground floor, and I'd take careful measurements of my window openings and see if some interested party with a laser-cutter could knock out sets of doors or window-sashes for the "not yet Blitzed" look.
-
mmm food for thought...........thinking of buying a laser cutter when i sell my house..........but it will be pure indulgence if i do
