Title: New Rule for a better understanding !!
Post by: Driscoles on March 11, 2008, 02:48:55 PM
Hello,

the T+T players already found out that silmultaneous actions work pretty well with the excisting rules.

Nevertheless sometimes it can happen that the situation or the excitement of the game makes it impossible to settle things between the players.

In case both Units activate at the same time and the players really cant agree upon :

- modifiers
- the tiny little advantage in a charge or
- defense fire
- or who moves first into cover
etc.

please compare the units involved:

Which unit contains a hero
Which unit contains both a Hero and a Leader
Which unit contains a Leader
Which unit has no or less supressed marker

The better unit will have the first action.

If both units all have the same results roll a d6.

The higher result goes first.

Example :
Unit A wants to charge Unit B. Because Unit B has fewer numbers and the player fears to loose the close combat he wants to fall back and plays a fastmove action.

Player B hopes he can bring enough space between his unit and the enemy.

Both units are Veterans and therefore activate at the same time. After playing there orders both players are not sure how to handle this actionphase. Because this is a very tight situation about win or loss the players compare the units and find out that both have a Leader and both have s-markers. But Unit A only has 3 markers and Unit B has 5.
Unit A can charge before Unit B can run away.

Please dont use this rule at any situation during the game because we think that especially the activation system is big fun and exciting.  Always try to agree with your gaming buddy. The tale you are gaming is much better than winning and heroes never die !

Have fun
Cheers
Björn

That looks very reasonable, Bjorn.

Mind you, I play solo, so I don't often disagree with myself
