Here's some WW2 Italian terrain I've been working on.

That's rather inspiring.

Thanks for the kind words, they are both evolving projects.
I'm working on a Russian terrain set now which should be up and running in a couple of months. That terrain set will have pine forrests, marshes, wheat fields, and Russian styled buildings.

Beautiful terrain!!! Makes me want to start my long-overdue terrain projects! Very inspiring.

Very sweet.
Love the look of the terrain.

Thanks guys. Terrain is another aspect of our hobby that tends to be the last we usually work on. I play at my LFGS where I see fantastically painted armies, yet they are playing on sub-standard tables. I desided I would make good terrain for the games I play and the response has been positive. "You build it and they will come".

Thats brilliant :-*

Very nice indeed, and full of character. Terrain is so important in WW2 gaming to provide cover and block lines of sight, but this goes way beyond that and sets the scene nicely.
Currently I have a plan to build a section of the 1941 Battle of Keren for 28mm models. Don't know if it'll come to fruition but it's fun planning it! :)

15, 20, or 28mm?

Lovely tables!

Thanks alot guys.
This is 15mm scaled terrain.
My Italian/Sicily terrain project started a couple of years ego, when I read an article in World War 2 magazine about Monte Cassino. They described the Guams fighting in the mountains in an out flanking operation that ultimately rendered the Gustav Line untenable. What stuck me, as a wargamer, was the lack of WW2 games set in Italy or Sicily people play. As I read more and more on that area of operations it became more and more interesting to me, so I had to build the terrain.

Wow, cool stuff here. I'm also impressed with your table storage underneath. look at all those classic games.
15mm looks like a lot of fun. You've got a proper village and surrounding countryside.

Thanks, I'd like to take credit for owning the games under the table but they are owned by the FLGS called Hat's Games that I play at here in Tucson. Speaking of playing a game, I'm going to set up a game this weekend and I'll try to remember to take photos. I have about double the terrain pieces then what is shown on the pictures because I use a random terrain generation chart to roll up the table we play on. It determines where and how much of certain terrain will be placed on the battlefield, then I make minor adjustments to the terrain to make sense (for example, making sure a stream does not run up and down a hill) and for playablity.
