I'm currently running a campaign game for my friends using Fantastic Worlds. Using the increasingly popular 'Comic Life' I'm going to attempt to tell the story in Sunday Comics style, with a new chapter every week! Be patient, it will take time to develop.

Great start Marc and I had a lot of fun! I hate that I missed my opportunity to knock out Mang with my bold plan.
-
Mang cannot be even touched by the likes of YOU!! We are like unto a god, you pitiful excuse for a "hero".
Yours sincerely,
Mang Worldtaker III, Esq.

Cool, Mo! I have to take a crack at that comics software eventually.

Lovely stuff.
I took loads of pics of Friday night's game, with the intention of doing one of these comic things. Turns out the memory card was sitting in its dock, plugged into my PC the whole time. I never look at the camera's little screen when taking pics. It was shouting NO CARD! every time I took a pic. I need to get a camera that has a flashing light or an audible alarm in that situation.
What a f**king idiot!
Anyway, it was a Sci-Fi thing, with pre-painted mechs of some sort and some GZG groundpounders fighting in a ruined city. We played it Old Skool and used Rogue Trader. The highlight was me 'pulling a Sickly' and crashing my mech into a building. Managed to kill a load of the enemy doing so, though, and the rest ran away when the thing exploded. Pilot bailed out. Mission was accomplished, all was well. The report would have been really great (possibly the best battle report in the history of the Galaxy ever), but you'll just have to imagine it.
Sorry for the interruption. Back to your scheduled programme.

Give the man a handler, pretty if he insists. We can't risking Plynkes botching more battle reports for us.
-
Nicely done, Marc! Keep it coming!

Oh man I've come close to doing that so many times. Fortunately my camera has a little alarm sound when you try to take pics with no card. Of course I'm glad it does because I've had that happen while doing professional photography at Weddings. Not exactly something you can laugh off later.
Oh stupid me. Looks like I missed the entire ceremony because I forgot to put my card it..... I'll be calling my lawyer now and telling him to get ready for the upcomming lawsuit.
Hey MO where do you get that software? Looks awsome!

Ironworker,
Good to see you back on the forum, hope the move went well. I've missed your projects in the workbench section

I'm not done moving yet.... In fact the worst is still to come. We ended up renting a house a month early, actually two months early, just so we could move our pets. I thought I was going to be up there more often so I moved a lot of my current projects up there. Turns out I've been at our old house more so my miniature work isn't getting done. I've got to be out of my studio by the end of them month so who knows when I'll really be back at it. It's really driving me nuts too because I've been highly inspired to do thigs this month but all I'm doing is moving stuff around. :(
Anyhow I"m sure we will work thing out.

Great stuff Mo. Really like your pace. If only the other web comics I read would keep your schedule! :)

I'm not done moving yet....
No one is ever really done moving, I moved into my current house 5 years ago and my living room still looks like the warehouse from the last scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
Maybe it's just me...

Man your really getting these done quickly. They look great!

The last few chapters have been harder than the first since I don't have enough pictures to represent all the action. A couple of subplots have been dropped altogether including Kim running his lizard minion into the archway to see if their was a force field (there was) and watching him get knocked back 30' by it.
:)

The one draw back of it all. As we got involved in the action of the game and the excitement we took less pictures :( . It happens. Poor Marc has to deal with that. But he has been doing a very nice job with the retelling. Next chapter I will try to remember to bring my camera as well so we should have more photos.

I've had the same thing happen during my reports. Early in the game it's easy to overshoot every bit of action and sometimes from different angles. As the two sides get stuck in it gets harder. I'm often playing with a camera in one hand while making a die roll with the other. You might restage some shots after tghe game if you have that option.
-
I often fake the shots the day after if we were using my models on gaming night. If it's somebody else's stuff then I just make sure I take about a million pictures while we're at it, even if it does disrupt play.
My battle reports come before their enjoyment of the evening! :) Actually it's not as if our mob aren't always stopping to chin wag about stuff nothing to do with the game for minutes on end as it is, so me taking pics doesn't really disrupt anything at all.

I considered asking the gang if I could hang on to their figures so I could do just that, but thought better of it. We had plenty of pics and the story goes on 9 big strips as it is.

Cool story. And I love the monster! Now finally I know why I've been collecting them stupid Star Wars figures. Should have remembered earlier.

I apologize for the abrupt ending. We ran short on photos in the end. Look for the thrilling sequel 'Arena of the Gods' in a few weeks...

Great game, looks it was a lot of fun! Can't wait for part 2.

It was great fun. It helps to have such enthusiastic players. Once the game got going their personalities just took over. Everyone is anxious for the next chapter, so hopefully sooner rather than later.

Good fun. Looking forward to the sequel.
