Outstanding work both of you :-*
-
Beautiful entries - love the name Dolmot! lol
-
love both entries !
-
Phew, this one is difficult.
-
Dear God. Michael, you have excelled yourself - even by your usual high standards.
Dolmot. I love the fish people. Alas you have encountered the maestro in top form!
-
Yeouch! That was a tough call...
Both entries superb! :-*
-
Nice work Dolmont for sure, but the Admiral's work on "Into the Wilderness" is simply superb and the center gents sword is fantastic metal work! :-* :-*

I don't think there are adequate words....

Both stunning....a very tough choice!

Gish those adventurers are amazing

wow :o ... I think the top one is my absolute favorite so far! Colors, bases, character, mini's choices ... love it all!
I am also noticing, though, that the "frogs" are VERY well done, too. The green layers (I especiall like them brighter bellies!), the fitting bases, etc.
best wishes

Both of these are excellent.
The execution on the Admiral's entry is top notch as expected and I always love a good fishmen group.
Tough choice.
-
Dolmot, like your deep ones and the great setup; where are the larger frogs-fish-men from?
-
Outstanding work from you both, well done gents.
-
Both excellent entries -- and a very difficult choice.
-
Those deep ones came out very nicely. Well done!
The Admiral, however, has put together one of the best entries in the competition to date.
Geez... Admiral! o_o

I think that is a fair statement!

You are free to call it a tough choice but I know a good clobbering when I see (or feel) one. lol
Not that I'd have voted otherwise. Especially the Reaper friar must be the jolliest monk I've ever seen. I still want one regardless of having no actual use for him. The porter is a classic too. And the painting is as great as stated here several times.
I also admit happily exploiting the cheap palette allowed by my genre choice. I got through the whole batch with about five colours. I guess people managed to catch my bluff/slacking. :D
The small minis are...umm...AD&D Sahuagin? (Never played AD&D or its derivatives other than NetHack.) The large ones are Ugdru-Rashaar for Carnevale by Vesper-on. Sort of plain sculpts but that's fine for fast painting. Besides, my underwater squad is an equal opportunity employer. Ability to swim would be recommendable for a long-term career, though.
"Enchantment under the sea" could have made a nifty alternative title...

Yes it was, in the end, a clear cut win/loss but I think what people meant was the choice was tough due to the quality of your entry; they could have been a lot of 50-50s tat went the other way...
