Bugger, me, feck, that's gonna be a togh one.
Tie of the round?
-
Gorgeous painting fellers :-*
-
The 3rd tie in this round that has left me having to stop and have a long think prior to voting, a lot of tight matches this round.
-
Ouch this is tough - beautifully vibrant yellow and black against perfect bone
My head hurts
-
for once some skelettons, which look ... ahm? ... lively! lol
but the upper entry is giving me the thought to want a race-mixture-gang of my own.
best wishes

Very difficult - two of my favourite painters and two masterful treatments of subjects dear to my heart... o_o
-
Oh my, very though..Amazing painting on both entries, lads :-*
-
Beautiful glowing yellow tones on those Averlanders, Chris! I do love to see a racially diverse Empire force (something that GW appear to have gotten away from in recent years).
-
Criminy, there's a lot of tough calls this round.
These are both great old-school examples... right in the heart ;)

:-* :o :-* Wow Admiral...what a great little scene you've created there....and as usual the painting is fantastic! the Blue on the one wizards robes is incredible! I'm jealous of your scenery too....Something I must address before the next LPL.
Thanks to all for the comments on the Averlanders...these classic figures were a real pleasure to paint. Black and yellow are not colors that I normally have to tackle so this was a good chance to push my skills a bit...having great characterful figures makes that an enjoyable process.
Cheers,
Blue

Another tough call.

Really good work guys, and I recognize some of those skeletons :-)
-
Both excellent. Great painting on the Averlanders; wonderful scene with the undead, and flawlessly painted.
-
Both are very very nice! Admiral do you care to share your bone technique?

Of course not:
White or light grey undercoating
Bone White (Vallejo or Ral Partha)
Army Painter Dark Tone
Flat varnish
Bone White highlights
Flat varnish again.
Nothing spectacular ... :)

For the instructions maybe not, but for the execution...
