Personally no real use for them, but very charming figures. lol
-
VERY COOL! They're just the sort of characters that appeal to my sense of the absurd. The brushwork & basing is SUPERB. GREAT WORK!
-
Kinda cool and different. I like them.
-
Love em!
-
Wondrous figures with a Froud vibe- I do hope they sell well!
-
I like them a lot!
They're just the sort of quirky dark fantasy that I adore. If nothing else they'd make good familiars/sidekicks for my Chaos characters.
-
just placed an order
edit April 7th
just received them very nice figures, hope the line continues to expand.
-

The next wave look wonderful too.I really hope we will see them soon.

Hi Alan
Your order is packed and will be despatched first thing tomorrow ! :)
The second wave will consist of 12 new miniatures five are on the scroll (with a few you havent seen yet ;) ), however 'The Scribe', 'The Range' and 'The Snitch' will be a wave 3 release later this year.
Hope you enjoy the figures.
David

Too cartoony and whacky for my tastes, but I cannot deny that they are excellently sculpted (and painted) figures. Can see them being very popular indeed!

Great stuff :-*
I love this sort of fantasy :)
-
A wee bit disappointed "the range" will not be out soon but delighted to see that "the slicer" will be available soon- his tourney helm is so amazing...
What are your plans re other races and when (roughly) will the third wave be?
Cheers
Alan
-
Hi Alan
3rd wave hopefully will be around August - plenty of new 'Nightfolk' to come but I am going to have to keep you in suspense for a little bit longer ;)
I tend to post little snippets on our news (http://www.northumbriantinsoldier.co.uk/index.php?page=Latest-News) page as well if you want to keep up to date :).....there may be something of interest on there.... ;)
Glad you like them - plenty more to come.....

I need to figure out a way to fit these into some existing project(s).
Might take me a while to get sorted, but I've made myself a promise that I shall NOT make those purchases that just end up in a drawer for ages, until I stumble on them again... o_o

Nice work, Mr. Ghost.

Just a small teaser as I will post more photos over the weekend.
Kevin Dallimore was kind enough to send me some more painted 'Nightfolk' (http://ntseshop.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=178) Photos.
This time with the addition of superb fantasy buildings courtesy of 4ground (http://www.4ground.co.uk/)
Hope you like them they really bring the range to life! :)

Great to hear Michael!
Glad you like them.
Let me see some pics once you get them painted up!
Kind regards
David

I'm stoked to see them alongside that new 4Ground range (which is lookin' pretty cool).
-
Since having my wargames clearout I've had a bit of an epiphany, and to be honest I've changed my outlook on fantasy quite a bit. I was exclusively into sort of dark, gritty, "realistic" fantasy, but now I realise that the humerous and more relaxed stuff appeals very much. I see these in a new light, and will likely be buying them.

This chaps in particular is brilliant. He reminds me of the adviser minion from the game Overlord :)
-

is that the scenery maker?
-
Yes 4ground supply the fantasy buildings.
Not released yet - next month I think.
Hopefully we will have stock in our store :-)
-
Saw the buildings at Salute....exceptionally lovely!
-
Trying to see if I can get a couple to display with our 'Nightfolk' at Triples next week............

-
I can't think of a single use for these guys but I just know I'm going to weaken & order some. Absolutely love 'em :D
-
Roll on Sunday :D
-
these types of miniatures make me wonder what if the goblins were the good guys and the elves and dwarves were the bad
-
I love these little fxxkers!
I need to paint faster in order to justify buying them all!
-
And picked them all up at Partizan :D Still trying to blag my 10 year old that £80 was actually £8 before she tells her mum :'(
-
And picked them all up at Partizan :D Still trying to blag my 10 year old that £80 was actually £8 before she tells her mum :'(
She will be ok .... she has 'Hero' bear to paint up :-)
Great to see you both today - Enjoy the figures :-)
-
These are ace. Love the style of these miniatures very fun looking.
-
A "barroom brawl" style game springs to mind where everygoblin has individual objectives and unique capabilities and utter anarchy ensues.
This little work is full of fantastic drawings and descriptions of dozens of sorts of goblin: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Goblin-Companion-Terry-Jones/dp/1857937953/ref=sr_1_13?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1401798384&sr=1-13&keywords=goblin
-
Can somebody please make a size-comparison picture, with Nightfolks along Citadel/Grenadier/Partha/whatever or the odd space marine?
I'm still tempted to get them but I fear they look totally awkward along my old fashioned adventurers.
-
I will add a couple of comparison photos tomorrow ..... But they are Nightfolk and each individual model is different, some large ,some small, some short , some tall..... They all fit (up to now ;) ) on 25mm bases. All the figs you see photographed on the site are based on 25mm rounds - hopefully that should give you some idea of relative size
Paulus also has some great shots with otherworld goblins and other characters that may help.
David
-
No pics at the mo but to give you a quick start
The Warlock figure stands 22mm tall (to top of head excluding staff), 19mm to centre of eyes and 15mm wide in the base (all exclude plastic base)
Compared to a GW plastic seven he a lot chunkier but the hands and arms scale well.
-
Here's my version of The Hero. Love this ickle guy!

Well...the Woodsman looks more like a Headsman in that hood, but what's in a name. Whatever you call him, he is YET ANOTHER UBERCOOL & GLORIOUSLY WELL PAINTED creation. FANTASTIC WORK!

Beware the folk of the night....

-
Each of your creations is a unique character with an abundance of personal charm which the LOVELY paint jobs enhance in FINE fashion. WONDERFULLY WELL DONE once more!
-
These are very cool figures
Edit
I am thinking of using 40mm humans to go with them
looks like I will be going with some of the larger 32mmish for them
-
TBH they mix well with most 28mm figures tbh. Goblins etc come in all shapes in sizes
-
Getting ready for some new stock arrivals here at Northumbrian towers :D - whilst we get it all ready for the store,

Thank you so much :D
-
I love the little knight! How tall is he, can I ask? A guy in my D&D group plays a gnome paladin and the running joke is that his armour is just a human-sized helmet with arm and leg holes.
-
Oh dear someone got out of bed on the wrong side this morning......
Our very grumpy 'Spellcaster' (http://ntseshop.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=178&products_id=1643) miniature, 'Nightfolk' (http://ntseshop.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=178&sort=20a&page=2) practitioner of 'wylde magicks' - gotta love froggy...
-
I love these.... the paint is so smooth and rich - it fits the minis well.
-
Now there is a Little Guy with some BIG attitude issues, AND a WONDERFULLY expressive face. FANTASTIC WORK!
-
Bloody fantastic. All of it!
-
Does anyone else see Elvis when they look at this guy? I have this mental image of an angry Hobbit Elvis impersonator shaking his fist.
*Edit to say, I mean the above in a wholly complimentary way. The figure is great. Just don't want anyone to think I was insulting the work.
-

I think it must be the sideburns...or the lighting.
-
Very impressive. The stars and moons would have driven me insane. Great PJ!
-
Lovely job!
