I like them a lot!
They're just the sort of quirky dark fantasy that I adore. If nothing else they'd make good familiars/sidekicks for my Chaos characters.

Too cartoony and whacky for my tastes, but I cannot deny that they are excellently sculpted (and painted) figures. Can see them being very popular indeed!

A wee bit disappointed "the range" will not be out soon but delighted to see that "the slicer" will be available soon- his tourney helm is so amazing...
What are your plans re other races and when (roughly) will the third wave be?

Hi Alan

3rd wave hopefully will be around August - plenty of new 'Nightfolk' to come but I am going to have to keep you in suspense for a little bit longer  ;)

I tend to post little snippets on our news (http://www.northumbriantinsoldier.co.uk/index.php?page=Latest-News) page as well if you want to keep up to date :).....there may be something of interest on there.... ;)

Glad you like them - plenty more to come.....

I need to figure out a way to fit these into some existing project(s).

Might take me a while to get sorted, but I've made myself a promise that I shall NOT make those purchases that just end up in a drawer for ages, until I stumble on them again...  o_o

Kevin Dallimore was kind enough to send me some more painted 'Nightfolk' (http://ntseshop.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=178) Photos.

This time with the addition of superb fantasy buildings courtesy of 4ground (http://www.4ground.co.uk/)

Since having my wargames clearout I've had a bit of an epiphany, and to be honest I've changed my outlook on fantasy quite a bit. I was exclusively into sort of dark, gritty, "realistic" fantasy, but now I realise that the humerous and more relaxed stuff appeals very much. I see these in a new light, and will likely be buying them.

This chaps in particular is brilliant. He reminds me of the adviser minion from the game Overlord :)

A "barroom brawl" style game springs to mind where everygoblin has individual objectives and unique capabilities and utter anarchy ensues.

This little work is full of fantastic drawings and descriptions of dozens of sorts of goblin: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Goblin-Companion-Terry-Jones/dp/1857937953/ref=sr_1_13?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1401798384&sr=1-13&keywords=goblin

Can somebody please make a size-comparison picture, with Nightfolks along Citadel/Grenadier/Partha/whatever or the odd space marine?
I'm still tempted to get them but I fear they look totally awkward along my old fashioned adventurers.
Title: Re: Nightfolk Miniatures
Post by: Cushionsnbeans on August 03, 2014, 10:57:04 AM
I will add a couple of comparison photos tomorrow ..... But they are Nightfolk and each individual model is different, some large ,some small, some short , some tall..... They all fit (up to now  ;) ) on 25mm bases. All the figs you see photographed on the site are based on 25mm rounds - hopefully that should give you some idea of relative size
Paulus also has some great shots with otherworld goblins and other characters that may help.

No pics at the mo but to give you a quick start

The Warlock figure stands 22mm tall (to top of head excluding staff), 19mm to centre of eyes and 15mm wide in the base (all exclude plastic base)

Compared to a GW plastic seven he a lot chunkier but the hands and arms scale well.
