I recently painted and repainted and rebased some of my Vikings to use them especially as Jomsvikings. Vikings where actually the very first historical miniatures I started with, so I need to do some updates in painting from time to time.
Here is what I plan to play as Sigvaldi with his best of the best followers:
Sigvaldi and some of his boys.
more Jomsvikings
(http://www.kurpfalz-feldherren.de/sites/default/files/Jomsvikings_saga_Hearthguard_01.jpg)
still more Jomsvikings, painted new.

also new paints, the guy on the right is the miniature from Stronghold Terrain, which was shipped with the new german version of Saga. He is slightly converted with the mantle and the shield.

Fantastic work - fabulous figures! :-*

Even if I painted most of these allready a few years ago, I took the chance to get a new group photo as a Saga-Warband. I just rebased the Warlord and added another 12 Slingers. So my 6 Points Anglo-Saxons look like this:

Finally I finished my Alfred the Great of Wessex, inspired by the weak and older version of Alfred in the books of Bernard Cornwell:

Surrounded by some angry monk followers:

Here are some more named characters:

Nice color scheme and very good painting !

I like Alfred the Great's base with integral praying monk.
It really paints the picture of Cornwell's books

The quality of your work is astounding. You have captured the fury of the gods in their eyes!
-
Tasty! I wouldn't want to meet them on a dark night!
I'd run away as fast as I could in broad daylight!
Lovely figures BTW!
-
Very nice painting. :-* :-*
And that BTD Alfred the Great is my best miniature to represent it.
Well done.

Wow! Thanx so much for your Feedback. Glad you liked it.
The last days, I was in the right mood to finish some of the stuff, that was waiting there on my painting table for like... months... years? So I took my Rus Princes Malaia Druzhina to give them their final highlights. And here they are:
The models are from Gripping Beast (later russian range for the 13th century). I converted some of them, because the heads where really... well... terrible.
The Heads are from MicroArt and GW (Space Wolve and I guess Chaos Marauders).
All Druzhina together, riding out for the weekend:

very nice indeed

Awesomely awesome - looking good

I somehow missed the earlier update with Alfred's Massive.
They look great and really do capture the feel portrayed in Mr Cornwell's books.
:-* :-*
And those Rus are splendiferous.
A real riot of colour.
Outstanding!
:-* :-*
-
Those Rus are fantastic as is the whole thread. Which heads did you use for the conversions?

Beautifully done, I just love those Rus. ;D 8)
