I previously painted some figures for this project but it wasn't what i wanted. Going to be using Claymore castines figures for the project now and i have completed the commander of my Baratheon army.
Robert Baratheon.

Very cool.

I like him a lot

Love the figure and a great paint job!
Just jokingly have to say that the combination of that warhammer and his helmet adornment spells trouble. ;)
-
NI
Sorry. That was a silly.
:D

They paint up really well don't they. :)

Is that a crowned stag transfer?? Will it be commercially available from you??
-
Great paintjob !

No mate these are for myself. Moving away from the transfers and sticking with the flags.
-
Very nice, which company do you use? Plastics?

Nooooo! You utter bastard! :D
-
Will you be doing their adversary's also?
-

Going to use all Claymore Casting figures.

Im tempted to do the Targaryens. Some guys in my club are doing armies but they are sticking more to the Game of Throne theme. I prefer the ideas and Battles from King Roberts War.
Robert smashing Rhaegar Targaryena at the Trident has way more appeal :)

Robert's Rebellion is a great project. Did you ever take the step into Targaryen?
-
Here is my version of the Trident duel...

Okay, I have a feeling I'm going to regret asking this, but please explain the above reference. Different culture and background... is it a reference to a line from a book or is it a common English expression/phrase?

Antlers on helmet = Knights who say "Ni!"

Monty Python and the Holy Grail...
Ni is most common. But they converted...
“We are no longer the knights who say Ni! We are now the knights who say ekki-ekki-ekki-pitang-zoom-boing!”
Still had a shrubbery fetish though :D
My absolute favourite is the Terry Gilliam definition of Medieval kingship ;)
This in no way detracts from the beautifully painted House Baratheon figures this thread is really about

It's from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, "the knights that say, Ni!" :D
Darrell.

Sadly the project never amounted to much more. The figures are still stored away for another day.
-
Such a shame. You've got the makings of a great Lion Rampant retinue there!
-
Ill come back to it one day. Just got much more on at the moment that is keeping my interest.
-
Thanks everyone for "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" explanation. I will put that on my films to view list.
Flags of War, I'm sorry for having gone off topic. Lovely job on the mounted figure and basing. I especially like the antlers.
-
Really lovely Baratheons, can't believe I missed these. :-*
