Here a Dark Elf Villager I painted tonight. It is a miniature from Turnkey Miniatures.
This will be the first of 6 Dark Elf villagers I will paint for my Oldhammer Realm of Chaos narrative campaign.
Maybe some chaos warbands will pillage and burn their village ;)
-
Lovely work :)
-
Here a dark elf guy join the villagers ;)
-
Here my dark elf villagers from Turnkey Miniatures.
Mh, with their blue skin, maybe they are just smurfs and not dark elves, after all ;)
-
La la lala la-la
La lala la-lahhh
-
I just finished to paint my OOP Citadel night horrors medusa with bow. I swapped this miniature just a week ago for a OOP undead zombie ;)
She could be a monster encounter during my realm of chaos narrative campaign or maybe a follower of my slaanesh warband too.
-
Here my first Harpy. I will paint three more harpies for my Monster Encounters. I painted her with the classic paint scheme from the 1994 Harpies.
It is not a really oldhammer miniature (still avalaible now from citadel, but in resin, while mine is in metal) however I really could not like the older citadel harpies ;)
-
Here my four harpies :)
-
Cool stuff, a lot of character and quality in those figures. And I really love the green bases!
thanks

-
Here a OOP Manticore I painted today.
-
Here the first of my six dark elves that will be available in my random monster encounters for my Realm of Chaos narrative campaign.
Soon I will include two more witch elves. I bought this miniature some years ago, it's not oldhammer (it's a 1998 Ral Partha Crucible miniature).
-
They're looking great! I just painted up some harpies this week and must say yours look much better than mine!
-
Thanks :D
Here two more Witch Elves for my random monster encounters.
They will patrol the lands of naggaroth hunting for runaway slaves, monsters, chaos warbands, native rebels and other enemies of their Priestess-Queen.
-
The group of six witch elves for my random monster encounters is now complete:
-
Great paintjobs, the manticore looks especially good.
-
Some Orc Villagers for my oldhammer games.
-
That is quite a collection of VERY COOL & BEAUTIFULLY painted Old Treasures. The Medusa is my hands down favorite. VERY WELL DONE as always!
-
Those are some gorgeous (and superbly painted) orc villagers there, may I ask where you got them?

The orc villagers are available from Turnkey Miniatures:

This is a OOP 1984 citadel C26 Man-at Arm I painted as an Empire Knight.
It is still available from Wargames foundry.
The miniature is really easy to paint but It has a monotonous design too.
Maybe because it's more realistic than the other classic citadel miniatures.
Soon more empire fighters will join him.
-
Two Men-at-Arms join the Empire Knight.
-
Three more men-at-arms for the imperial warband.
-
Great painting. :)
-
Thanks :)
The last three men-at-arms and the Empire warband should be complete.
Maybe I will include another men-at-arm and a mounted leader (but first I must find an horse for the leader and the weapon for the fighter).
-
Great painting as always! Your style of painting with using strong coulours looks fantastic.
Is there a reason you dont do more with the bases? Is it to keep the "oldhammer" feeling.
Cheers
Robert
-
These are absolutely beautiful. Old school aesthetics in a distinctly modern style - exactly what I aspire to in my own painting but so far ahead of me! :-*
If you are looking for a Foundry horse and a weapon please PM me and I think I can help you out. Plus it would be so cool to contribute to this project!
-
Thanks :)
The bases are painted with a classic old school green paint scheme, as seen in some of the old eavy metal pictures.
It adds a feeling of old times in my oldhammer paint schemes. ;)
PS: Thanks JollyBob I senyt you a PM :)
-
JollyBob sent to me a nice christmas gift: an Ex-citadel Wargames foundry men-at-arms footman's halberd and mounted officer's horse. Then I could complete my mounted officer and footman (the first missed the horse, the second the weapon).
I immediately started to paint them and here they are ready to smash some pitiful orcs ;)
Thanks again Bob :)
-
Outstanding work! :-*
I can scarcely believe that's the same horse, I thought it was a pretty rough casting, but you've cleaned it up beautifully.

Thanks :)
These knights are fast and easy to paint (metal bordy armor) ;)
It's an old casting, then it was a little rough, but if painted it could be nice again :D
The name of the mounted officer could be Lord Roberto Strahlend, a border prince from tilean and imperial heritage :D

Two pre-slotta citadel villagers I painted for my oldhammer games: FS64 Money Lender & FS55 Little Old Man
-
More villagers for my oldhammer games, here the citadel C46 Traveling players: Boys
-
You added some BEAUTIFULLY painted treasures to your collection since my last visit. The jousting Lads bring back a fond memory. VERY WELL DONE one & all!

Here a farmer family. Midlam and Hasslefree (the child) miniatures.
-
Here a citadel pre slotta miniature I painted as an arabian guard (using the paint scheme of the warmaster arabians).
-
Nice work! I think the chaos warriors of that period were the best Citadel has done - very Moorcockian.
-
Thanks :D
Another pre slotta citadel miniature I painted. A Citadel Compendium Chaos Fighter.
I must admit that my love for pre slotta miniature is increasing with each new miniature I paint. 😍
Sure, they could be static and grotesques miniatures and there is always the hidden menace of the lead rust but they have an old school charme 😁
-
Nothing wrong with those, stylewise, imho. Nice, old school pj, and good to see those oldies getting a new life :).
-
A Nightwatchmen, two wolves and four sheeps. The man and wolves are reprints of Acropolis Design miniatures, now available from "The Baggage Train". The sheeps are cheap plastic toys I repainted some time ago.
-
You have some LOVELY old treasures all BEAUTIFULLY painted. There are quite a few that I had never seen before, which adds to the treat of viewing your OUTSTANDING WORK.
-
Very cool addition to your collection. I really like the vibrancy of your paintwork - totally suits these venerable minis.
-
Thanks :)
Here some new additions to my villagers a Acropolis Design man in pillory, gallows with hanging man and a Midlman miniatures woman tied to stake.
-
More villagers:
-
a strumpet and a barwench join my villagers:

-
Enjoying seeing these villagers - NPCs are sorely under-represented in my book!
Thanks for posting your work, it's lovely :)
-
Lovely vivid brushwork!
:-* :-*
Makes a change to see the village people getting some love.
;)
-
Truly fantastic work, you've really inspired me to get cracking on some of my own Oldhammer miniatures, although I fear they won't end up quite as gorgeous as these guys! Love the bases, too, feels really old school - I may have to try to replicate them in my own work :D
-
This is a lovely thread to read through. As others have said, it is nice to see the villagers getting painted up with such care. I do like your painting style.
-
Thanks :)
Here two classic citadel miniatures (1985 I suppose) a female barbarian & fighter.
I still don't know how I will use these ladies, maybe in some random encounters or in some warbands.

-
Looking good! :)
-
Thanks :)
I painted two pre-slotta miniatures: a wizard (maybe a necromancer) and a dwarf.
-
That is quite a collection of BEAUTIFULLY painted Chaos Folk. You have a real flair for the subject. VERY WELL DONE as always.
-
Thanks :)
A not citadel miniature I will use as a brigand leader for my oldhammer games.
-
That is a wonderful paintjob on a lovely (and unfamiliar) figure.
:-* :-*
I reckon she must have some kind of 'Distraction' ability when you are fighting her.
;)
-
Thanks :)
Two citadel pre slotta pirates and a barbarian. I will use them as brigands in my oldhammer games.
-
Marvellous stuff. I wish my painting would be half as decent as this!
-
Thanks :)
A simple conversion of a "Laughing Monk" miniature, I included a pair of green stuff fangs, a bigger axe and two severed heads on the belt.
I will use it as a female black orc for my oldhammer games.

I yet painted this miniature in 2009, for my mordheim games, here the picture of the old painted orc. I decided to repaint her to include in my oldhammer games.

-
I painted another Laughing Monk miniature I bought some years ago.
I decided to finally paint her as an alternative oldhammer half-hobgoblin ronin from Nippon: Nitsume Fumge of Haikido.
She would be a nice addition for a colourful warband in Sellswords & Spellslingers solo/cooperative games.
Maybe I could consider to include some foundry ex-citadel orientals. o_o

Originally I yet painted this miniature as a barbarian shamaness in 2013:

-
I painted some companions for Nitstume, the nippon half-hobgoblin. Here Nistume (Laughink Monk) with some Nippon Hobgoblins (Grenadier/Mirliton).

-
I painted a OOP miniature from Grim Reaper Castings, the Lupi Warrioress from Nasteez range.
I will use her as a werewolf for my oldhammer games.

-
Nice remindes me if some of the old maiden head beast women.
-
Thanks :)
Now the male werewolf.
An old citadel miniature.
