Title: The Empress Of India, Or Tank Engines on the Northwest Frontier
Post by: Grimjack on August 14, 2015, 01:40:34 PM
Gents,

First time I have posted here but I need your help.

I am after a cheap-ish train set from a UK store that I can convert into the train from the movie Northwest Frontier / Flames Over India (Kenneth More, Lauren Bacall, Herbert Lom).

It looks like a small-ish tank engine but I need it to be suitable for 28mm sized figures. I keep being told 'American O Gauge' but I can't find a small enough engine.

Cheers,

Wayne

Or on a smaller scale (but not in UK).

Ta Sir, but not cheap enough for my Boss!

Looks like I am going to have to visit that bloody giraffe's toy barn with a 28mm figure in hand, again!

Thank God I have kids or it'd look even more weird...

If you can visit a railway modellers' swap meeting. There are usually lots of second hand engines and rolling stock in every scale and to suit most pockets.

I'm picking up my own thread again on making a train for nothing.as Ive been well and truely side tracked with other card projects ,but if you post a few pictures I'll see if its viable and add it to what I'm doing.if your interested.
