Title: VUK Split Stats
Post by: necromorph on August 17, 2015, 03:52:13 PM
So my gaming club wants to start playing VUK. I've been reading the rules but a little stumped on why some have split stats. Can anyone help?

I understand that a Rogue Agent would have a split stat for when they're wearing armour and not, but I dont get why a Fishman, Deadly Spawn, Snakeman etc would get a split stat if they don't have equipment that would effect it.

Sorry if it's a dumb question, I just couldn't see it anywhere in the rules.

The higher value represents the natural skin "armor" (or something like that) of the figure. So unless you have a weapon that has Armor piercing, you use the higher value.

"Von Unausprechen Kulten" (About Unspeakable Cults) which is the Cult vs Cult game rules based on Strange Aeons put out by Uncle Mike's World.

Ah I get it. Thanks! So if I'm reading it right, the Horror: Con 6/8 has effectively Armour +2. So an AP1 weapon wont have any effect against it, but an AP2 weapon will drop its Con to 6 as it's equal to the +2 Armour bonus.

Not exactly right. The Horror's armored value is reduced by 1 with an AP 1 weapon, so its values will now be 6/7.  Let us say you had an AP 3 weapon, that would negate only the 2 armor, but no further. So, it would be a 6/6 value.
