Title: Hallo und Guten Tag!
Post by: Kinokawa on December 12, 2008, 07:12:11 AM
Hello out there,

My Name is Christian and I was born in good old Germany 29 years ago.

At the moment I live and work in Tokyo, for already two years now.

Tabletop-Miniature-Gaming started for me with Warzone and Chronopia, followed by Blood Bowl, Mordheim and Warhammer.

Here in Japan I mostly play Warhammer and Blood Bowl. Next week we will have a Christmas Bowl Tournament. So if annybody of you happens to be in Tokyo, come around.

A while ago a friend introduced me to .45 and this forum :-* and I guess this is the final step into insanity for me, the point of no return. At the moment I work on some Pulp models and scenery. I hope to post some pictures soon.

So, thanks for this great forum and Yoroshiku!

Right then, if we're resorting to the vernacular:

Ow be ya, sam?

Ohayo gozaimasu!

Last time I heard from the Japanese Wargaming scene, it was almost exclusively GW - is that still the case?

Cheers

As far as I know it is mostly, Chris. But I'm no expert, and we've got someone who's living there, so he'd know better than us, heh. My Japanese is so dreadfully rusty.

Welcome!

The program I'm studying at uni includes Japanese. I should be able to speak it quite fluently at this point, which in reality is a state I haven't quite reached. Still, I can communicate well enough given conditions that aren't too stressful.

I'd also be interested to hear about the wargaming scene (if there is one) over there.

Thanks for this warm welcome. Nice mix of languages. Seems to be a really international forum.

About the gaming scene here in Japan: You are right, most people I know play exclusively GW Games, Warhammer, 40K, as well as Specialist Games. Mordheim has some hardcore fans here. Some people also play a lot of Hordes and Warmachines.
