Hi, I'm adding some Fantasy touch to my fantasy-ish pagan Rus Warband to make it a Frostgrave one. More pics and ranting on my blog. https://themediocrewargamer.wordpress.com/2016/03/17/some-fantasy-rus-painted/

That's one moody looking wizard - nice work!
-
Very nice indeed! I feel a chill just looking at them.

Outstanding! Every one of those figures is equipped for the cold, unique as individuals, but encompassed by your Rus theme. I dig that you went hard-core with the snow. I wasn't that brave. Thanks for posting these.

Great stuff. What are the original figures?
-
Thank you, "brave" is the right word. After sluggishly painting those difficult blacks, splashing them with snow was a real hart-stopper. But now that the thing has settled I'm quite happy with it, and I think I'll go on with some more.
The original figures is a mix of many sets I kitbashed, you may see the blog for detailed breakthrough of the parts used. The metal ones (1, 3, 5 from the left) are BTD Ancient Germans with greenstuff fur hats.
Thanks for every feedback of yours!

Oooh frosty!
-
Looks really impressive!

This is fabulous and the warband really captures the cold frozen look I imagine that delvers into Felsted would have!
Now where is that snow!?
-
Absolutely wonderful! That is definitely a great looking summoner. Keep it up!

Now where is that snow!?
I don't know if I understand correctly your question, but if you're asking what snow effect it is, it's a cheap Italian product for dioramas and such. You splash splosh a nasty gel on the base, then sprinkle it generously with this very thin and glittery and toxic powder and that's it. Same on clothes but the gel is thinned down with water (elsewhere also PVA glue worked).
That's the stuff, left gel, right powder:

I hope that helped. And thanks again for the nice feedback.

Nicely themed and converted warband. Thanks for sharing

Terrific theme. Excellent execution. Bravo!

I don't know if I understand correctly your question
I was actually prompting myself to follow your basing example! You've achieved a great effect and your warband really looks the part! Hopefully I can achieve the same effect!

Very cohesive and dramatic looking group. Well done.

Its a great looking warband - but I think that beefy Imp maybe hitting the gym a bit too hard...

Really great looking warband. Very nicely done.
