Wowee!!! :o :-*
Two very nice entries there... Dolmot, you have excelled yourself! What a fabulous scene - worthy of The Prof himself. An epic production :-*
There again, Freelancer, superb painting on those samurai - very subtly, but very beautifully done, and such lovely figures... 8)
Very difficult choice...

Dolmot, I hope you make closeups after the round. I am very curious about the manufacturer o some of the minis.
-
Beautiful setup Dolmot!

Yes, that is a very Professor-like scene, Dolmot. I LOVE it... :-*
I cracked up when I saw the tentacle-faced one at the edge of the crowd. Nice job sneaking him in... lol
Truly, an impressive grand finale...

This is my favorite of the round.
Pity it wasn't set up against one of the Profesor scenes!

Thanks, guys. As a quick note, only the band here is new stuff and what I'd consider the "proper" entry. The rest is gathered from assorted entries of maybe five LPLs (including this one) and other projects over years. Usually I don't include any extra minis in my scenes, but this time it felt somehow fitting that all those citizens would be doing a brief encore for this special round. (The title has a triple meaning. Clever, eh?) I definitely didn't paint 50+ minis in a single week, which was even one or two days short. But I hope you're entertained anyway. :)

Dolmot! This is an amazing entry! Just been going through the crowd with my daughter. Magic! :D

Stunning Mr D
Who makes the squid-head sleuth?

I think it's safe to claim that the LPL is way past that point where most entries were painted in a single week.

Hello,
Two superb entries !! :-* :-*

That's a swinging scene Dolmot :)

thebinmann: He's Dr Sherlopticus, released by Black Cat Bases in their Whiskers & Tentacles range in 2010. However, the whole range seems to have disappeared at some point. No idea whether that's intentional or an oversight. There is an unpainted pic (http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Image:BCB-bcbwatdrs.jpg) on Lost Minis.
Hammers: Are you perhaps interested in the jazz age? lol I can try making a list. It's going to be a long one, though. Let's see if I can still remember all the manufacturers myself. There may be more than ten of those present here.

Some really stunning entries here, but the crowd in the First takes my vote!

I second this !

OK, here's finally a "who's who" of the audience. Again, let me point out that absolutely nothing here is new for this round. I just scraped my cabinets and cases for characters who might fit in to the scene. Long time readers may have seen pretty much all of this over years in various contexts. Let me know if you think something here is incorrect.

I was going to take similar pics of the band as well but somehow managed to forget it. Well, they're from Black Cat and Eureka. Overall, there are 19 manufacturers present. More than I initially thought.
It was a fun special round, but I won't make a habit of displaying boatloads of old minis because that's a bit against how I perceive the point of LPL. Maybe some year I finally manage to start early enough to paint something similar properly. Hasn't happened yet. :-I

Do you (or anyone else) remember what the Reaper miniatures woman was called. I couldn't find it on their site

Thanks for the list, and extra photos

From 50090 Townsfolk pack (http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/townsfolk/latest/50090), maybe a bit poorly tagged in their shop. Note that I took my photos with a fixed setup so you can compare scales. This is quite big a mini compared to other ~28mm ladies.

I love that Cthulhu-Holmes dude.. but I am unable to find it on old school Black cat page..
Was this some special edition or he hides from me in some strange category ?
