Title: Looking for a member who apparently scammed me...twice
Post by: Predatorpt on May 18, 2016, 06:26:32 PM
The member in question - Gomez - sold my some AT-43 figures and they never arrived (nor did he ever reply to me PMs here and on Warseer). During the period his Sale topic was on the Bazaar, some members contacted me by PM saying that they had similar problems with him (0 communications after the payment; wrong stuff sent or not sent at all) but that after some prodding, he usually sorted everything out.

In the beginning of the year I finally resolved my problem, with some public shamming (nothing major, just posted I was still expecting my stuff after almost 3 months) on his threads here and on Warseer. He replied within a week, saying that the post office must have lost his parcel (it was supposedly sent with a tracking number) and offered me a full refund of £32.25. He also said he would try and track the parcel down.

In March he contacted me again, saying that he had received the returned parcel from the post office:
Quote
"A rather sorry looking parcel arrived today with the firetoads in - looks like I didnt pack them well enough. Are you still interested?"

I was stupid enough to say yes, I was still interested. I only asked if he could wait a bit (couple of weeks) so I could have money in my Paypal. There wasn't any problem with him waiting, we traded a couple of PMs and then I send him the money again. Guess what?

It's May and I still haven't seen the Firetoads. Contacted him through Warseer, in April, he said he would check the tracking number for the parcel. He doesn't reply to my PMs here and on Warseer and not even an email to his personal account got a reply.

I know it's partially my fault - after all I had a previous bad experience with him; sent the money with the usual Friend/Family on Paypal - but what the hell, I never had nothing similar happen to me here and he's a member with a vast posting history on Warseer, with lots of project blogs there.

So, if anyone knows this Gomez/GomezAddams on Warseer; please let him know that there's someone very pissed at him.  >:(

I can be contacted by PM and the mods can lock the topic if inappropriate.

Thanks in advance.

I know him reasonably well as have done loads of trades with him in the past. I'll see if I can nudge him.

No probs. Done deals with you both, and happily so, so hopefully two good guys can sort it like gentlemen. ;)

Thanks once again. It seems that your intervention nudged him to action. Let's see how it goes.
