It's a Copplestone from their Fantasy Warriors range , I think?
Yeah, that's quite an impressive pj. Not a fan of green skin on Orcs but yours came out beautifully. The model is a Bones one or the metal version?
Gorgeous paint job on her, Steve :-*Yep, a nice figure given a clean and pretty paint job!
Thanks for voting on them on CMON. It's taking ages to get to the 50 vote level , where they count towards your rating.
Wow, everything here is so gorgeous! :-*Well Steve-o has been painting for something like 183 years now. :-)
Another Kelt Warrior from Rackham
A Frostgrave Sigilist
Are the new Sigilist models on gereral release now? I was looking for them just the other day, but could not find them other than on the Nickstarter promo page.
I got mine in the Nickstarter.
Nicely done.
I've looked it up, and it's a Bane, fron the Forsaken faction in CMON's game "Dark Age". Though, this is an old version.
A female dark elf cleric from Reaper miniatures, sculpted by Sandra Garrity. Now what makes her a dark elf? :-)
Now what makes her a dark elf? :-)
Grimm
White hair and a seductive stare. :-)For sure not the skull in her hand as she shows ever one in front of her.
The latest barbarian is fantastic. What colors did you use on the jerkin?
Deano, could you tell me how you painted your earlier, non-snow bases? Thanks.
Great stuff Steve. Love the barbarians. They're nice figures aren't they? :)
This one is 'WAR' from Reaper. One of the 4 horsemen I assume....
Lovely brush work here and something I really want to *attempt* to go some way toward emulating the style.
Do you have a writeup somewhere about the technique you use?
Agree, very nice. On the Dragonbait what colour(s) did you use for the skin tones?
I'm a bit worried my eyebrows are going to end up looking like that! ;)
Apologies if this has been asked before - I's sure it has but I can't find it; but what are your paint colours for the european (white) flesh tones?
Those dwarves are brilliant. Great painting, and lovely figures. So much better than most of what's followed in the world of 25mm scale dwarves... ::)
Another really old Citadel figure known as the 'Left Handed Fighter'
Dungeon Master from the old D&D cartoon.
Drow Female with pet spider from Hasslefree.
Drow Female with pet spider from Hasslefree.
Perfect companion piece. And is "the dread pirate Roberts" far behind ?
The Acrobat from the old D&D cartoon all grown up. Figure by Antediluvian miniatures.
Last of the Shadespire Chosen Axes
A group shot as requested :-)
Beautiful painting, Steve - those beards are sublime, and I LOVE the dark armor! Top notch! I have to ask, though - do you basically manage a miniature a day, to this standard? Amazing. For me, it's about a miniature a month. Really enjoying this thread!
I try and get something new to show each day, but it doesn't always work out.
Great work as always. but what's going on with the priest's hand, above?
Looks like a Kara kesh:
https://www.google.com.au/search?source=hp&ei=VbvuWq3WMIWf0gSsj7zIAg&q=+Kara+kesh&oq=+Kara+kesh&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0l3j0i22i30k1l2j0i22i10i30k1.1522.3398.0.3610.5.3.1.0.0.0.260.510.2-2.3.0....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..1.3.524.0...232.rOgrroUgb6w
It's some kind of steampunky glove thingy whatzit device to vanquish foes :-)
Katarina from the Hasslefree Kickstarter set of figures.Need two more of this sexiness. One as a blonde and the other as a redhead. :-)
A Necropolis Ghast from Reaper.Deano,
Perseus, Greek Hero from Reaper

Do they do a Thumper?Bambi is carrying Thumper actually.
beautiful figure and painting.
Agree with every other comment - those flesh tones are unbelievably good.
The absolute sharpness and choice of colours that create the "pop" of each miniature is what really makes each one of these stand out for me.
Indeed, very nice colors. The sculpt is pretty good, too, though I don’t get the way the smoke is rising. Looks slightly wrong to me.
Anyway, another great paintjob!
love all your threads on this board.
one thing - the photos seem to show a slightly satin finish, as opposed to the flat matt look etc.
this is an aesthetic choice or ... ? I like it, and it's got me thinking.
looking more closely at other samples here, I can see it appears to be selective - so you're going for that finish when it's appropriate to the area of the miniature (i.e. leather / armour etc) ?
excellent, I like the blue and the scrolls :P
Jolly Nice, think you should call him 'Angry Arnie' as you've captured a certain likeness there :)
Really striking colors! Cheers!
If I was a wolf I'd stay well clear of her. Lovely rich colours you've painted Deano.
Edit: Dammit, as soon as I posted I was reminded of my avatar lol
Frostgrave Apothecary from North Star.
I've got to ask, are any of the Reaper stuff you have done "Bones material" minis?
too busy painting I guess!
lovely as ever.
The finish is Daler Rowney : Acrylic Medium : Soluble Matt Varnish
Paints are all sorts but mainly Foundry and Vallejo
:-)
Lovely painting as always Steve, and I must say, beautiful, crisp photography!
Another Old School Chaos Warrior
Marius Burrowell, Gnome Thief from Reaper Miniatures.
Priestess with familiar from Reaper Miniatures
Old School Chaos Champion from Games Workshop.
Mishka the Mystic from Reaper Miniatures.Really nice flaesh tones😎
Splendid 8)
Forgive me if I missed it but do you keep these and if so can we have a group shot? :D
They all end up on eBay.
Could not find them.. :(
Excellent painting. I especially love your color choiches. An overall not-too-saturated hues. Do you use your colors as they are in the pot (so buy them with this look in mind) or do you use some "trick" (i.e. mixing a small amount of grey to your colors) ?
Hope I have expressed myself properly ^^
Rangers of Shadow Deep - Skeleton, from North Star.
Steve, is the cloak on the skeletons a black or deep blue? Shaded with a grey?
Thanks
Tom
Very nice orc. Lovely subtle green for the skin
Very cool. What do you think of the Goblins set overall? And how tall are they?
These are some really great paintjobs (and miniatures). What do you use them for? Are they for a specific project or general fantasy wargaming/RPGs?
Your Oathmark goblins are really evocative of old fantasy art (even though that was mostly black & white!). It's definitely the way I imagined orcs & goblins when I started out with D&D.
I sell them to pay the bills and fund my 15mm habit :-)
Hmm... well it's healthier than crack, or is it?
Another couple of Oathmark Goblins from North Star
Really nice painting Steve. Also nice to meet you at the Hammerhead show.I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Is this the Warhound from the D&D Chainmail range Steve?
Incredible greys chap
A calm and thoughtful lord with a very sharp looking shord - very nice aesthetics all in all!
:-* :-* :-*
Simply superb :-*
thought I'd seen one of those ogres in your thread before and that was great, but this one is fantastic :-*
Yep, I had two of those guys.
Forrest Witch
The flesh is always your strong point and... our soft spot :)
Lovely jobs!
You must really tell us how you achieve such wonderful skin tone; in 28mm and 15mm.
just jealous.
Thanks for sharing
great work on those two.
Awesome sculpts and I won't stop commenting the superb work on the flesh!
cracker. Brilliant disdainful expression!
Landsknecht from Hasslefree
Old School Ral Partha Giant
Giant from Otherworld Miniatures.
Very nice face expression and I like this green!
Another Classic Wizard from Reaper
Old School Citadel Fighter
great. Face is fantastic.
excellent face and free-hand design.
All of these henchmen look great! I love the granade thrower! What kind of miniatures are these? I couldnt find them on Reapers homepage.
Ok, thanks for the info! Hope they wont be made of Bones...
Great model, great painting. There's not enough of these sort of 'otherwise employed' models out there, doing normal stuff instead of waving a sword about.
Bones V - Henchman #3 from Reaper
Love the lamp on that one…..and the rest of the painting!
Group shot of the Reaper Henchmen
the eye is really good!
D&D Nothic from Fantasy Minis
Wow! Truly inspirational work on that Lady. Beautifully subtle uses of blue.
lovely combo of colours.
This x 2.
How is the material from the latest kickstarter? The detail here looks really sharp, is it the new bones USA stuff?
blimey, she don't skip leg day !I don't think she skips any of the days!
Fire Giant from Otherworld Miniatures
Frostgrave Captain from North Star
The Imperial Noble is something special! (Not that the others aren’t rather good too!)
How do you find switching between the new Bones figures and the classic Citadel ones?
Love that henchman, do they have the others from the movie? Do you have them?
I'd always take metal over plastic :-)
Warhammer Necromancer from Games Workshop
All excellent work, of course, but THIS really stands out for me. Fantastic painting. :o
(Any reason you chose NOT to base it on a GW plastic round? Just curious. ::) )
Customer's choice
Warhammer Necromancer from Games Workshop
I would often cut and file these off or paint them like metal... lol
Great colours on that one.+1
That's a nice one. I've not seen that figure before.
Tyrant King from Crooked Dice.
Naga from Black List Games
Love the contrast between the dress & skin colours.
Cleric from ReaperVery moody. I like her.
...Knight of Minus Tirith...
Is a stunning piece of work. :o
Vampire from Reaper Miniatures
If you wouldnt mind my asking, how tall is she, or more pointedly, do you have a frostgrave plastic figure to set next to her for me to see directly? Your painting is lovely, and the model is such that I might just have the perfect use for her if she's in the right scale range...
I like the grey dappled horse. You are almost at 100 pages of loveliness do keep 'em coming...
Grave DiggerAt last, a job where you start at the top, then work your way down. lol
Well done but a creepy mini...very creepy.
Warhammer Gold Wizard from Games Workshop
Warhammer Wizard from Games Workshop
Great painting Steve.
Which set is the Villager posted on the 11th October?
The villagers are beautifully done, really nice.
Can I expect them to pop up on ebay soon?
minis I bought following inspiring posts were "so little"...
you guys are ruining me! :D
Villager from Reaper Miniatures
Wizard from Reaper
Ares from Northstar
