-
Wow! that's awesome. Well done sir!

Excellent painting. I love what you did with the face, especially the eyes and the moustache.
-
Thanks for the comments. Here's another one from Foundry
-
Beautiful work! I'd love to one day have a crew of pirates painted you, sir!
-
A Seven Years War general from Foundry, painted up as a Pirate era Island Governor.
-
They are just getting better and better :-* :-*well done sir.
-
Sterling work :-*
-
Fantastic painting especially on the governor figure. Can't wait to see some more.
-
That Governor is so well painted he deserves a beautiful daughter to be
kidnapped by scumbag pirates and held hostage in their filthy hideout taken to a surprise vacation on a tropical paradise by gallant adventurers! ;)
-
Not what I'd call beautiful, but here is the Governor's wife or daughter. Could also be a Pirate in drag. A Foundry figure.
-
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Splendid brushwork ;) :)
-
Deano, it's a very nice Crossdresser Pirate! :)
As Malamute well said, splendid brushwork! These colors are difficult to work with, and you achieved an amazing effect of volume, depth and light, CONGRATULATIONS! One of the best painted "female" figures I've seen in this forum in a long time! ;)
EDIT> Malamute, your Elena de La Vega is another one of the best, BTW! ;)
-
Jim Hawkins from Foundry's Treasure Island pack
-
Deano, your paintwork is truly extraordinary!

I'd say there was a modelling company that needed to learn that human eyes are not located halfway up the forehead.
-
Blind Pew, again from the Foundry Treasure Island set.
-
Wonderful painting on those figures. The Governor's Wife may not be a looker but you have painted her beautifully. :o :o
Reminds me of the court painting of Anne of Cleves. lol lol
-
Great colour choice on Blind Pew! 8)

Great as usual....almost makes me want to start painting pirates again...... :D

A female Pirate from Foundry.

Love these. For 'older' figures these days, I still think these are the best pirates out there, and your painting brings them to life perfectly.

-
Proper lush :-*
-
Inspirational brushwork :-*
-
This is scarily good painting :o you didn't do a Robert Johnson and sell your sole to the devil did you?
-
The Island Governor's downtrodden sergeant. A Seven Years War figure from one of Foundry's character sets with an added chest and painted up to go with the Island Governor and his wife from an earlier post. He could of course just be a Prussian looter....
-
WOW lovely whites :-* :-* :-*
-
Ooh, I might have to pick that one up, great mini! The paintjob is beautiful too.
-
Wow!! These are superb.
The colors are so vibrant. :-*

Of course it's a great painting job, it's just I wanted to say on my poor english :)
About the necks of the models, I was refered about they are skeleton pirates, but the vertebras of the neck aren't visible

Youe english was fine there. The necks on the sculpts are terrible!
-
Well, they are skeletons in general, but they appear still to have leathery skin clinging to their necks. Which is a bit odd... but probably means their necks won't snap off first time you drop them.
I wonder how they would work if you painted them as if they still had the skin on, but were ... desiccated, is that the word?
I think they work great as skeletons, mind you... just don't think about those necks too much. The studio paint jobs also treats them as skelies.
-Michael
-
Fantastic paint jobs Deano!
-
Really love your paintjob! :-*
We want more! :D
-
I love the Black Scorpion Pirate figs and Deano's painting is stellar! I'm happy to discover that it's not me. I can't stand the necks on the skeletal pirates! Probably was a concession in the sculpt made for casting purposes. I'd own them all myself already if they had opted for a two part cast with separate heads and a neck "nub" that would have looked like exposed bone. Still, the neck is the only weak point so they are tempting and Deano's treatment of the models make it harder to say no :) .
-
Dead Man's Chest from Reaper.

Wonderful painting on that vignette. :-* :-*
-

It would be great if you could, please, take one more picture of the crew from the opposite side to show details of the figure with the torch, as he has a very dynamic pose!
