Thanks, all, for the flesh tone tips! For the last couple of models in the project (the Koryu and the Swords for Hire), I've been using AK Interactive's Radiant Flesh then doing a wash with Citadel's Seraphim Sepia wash, followed by a few highlights of Radiant Flesh again. The results are much better than the formula I used on the Bandits. Still quick though which is what I need. I'm racing the clock to get all my minis done! The two outside ones look straight out of Seven Samurai. They look great!

Thanks Malebolgia  Terre, thanks for looking back into the archives  I was looking at heaps of refference images for the roof this time round, and what surprised me was the images often showed only partial weathering with some of the galvanised steel still being in place, thus the new approach this time around. Ooh that's a quick draw! Much quicker than a desk calendar

Nah, he was made after the Hungarian rock musician Attila Gidófalvy: https://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gid%C3%B3falvy_AttilaHaynau, maybe still the most hated man in Hungary (and wow, I can tell you, that is one hell of a contest ), had a moustache far less dangling, more on the twirled side. I will need a model of him though, for the 28mm 1848 project Very interesting. Really like the chap smoking the cigar! Thank you! I made that to be a gangster, but also to be a great conversion fodder for figures like this hunter.

Not an entire garden They come in units of 4, and I made 2 units of them:  Is there a root flower cult in turnip, like daffodils or tulips? The official fluff concentrates on vegetables, but there is one Cult, the Red Ribbon Society with a gardening theme: you can place little gardeners onto terrain pieces and they grow Tuft Tokens on it which you can use as bonuses for your army (This is the type of weird rules ideas that make T28 so great). These tuft tokens you can model as any gardening stuff, from simple sowed plot to fancy vegetables, or flowers too if you like.

Save the General's daughter - 25 February 1891, NWF Afghanistan 25 February 1891, NWF Afghanistan, General McGuinness is pushing his forces hard to reach the beleaguered garrison of Chitral Fort. The General has made many enemies as he cut his way through tribal territories. Chitrali spies in Peshawar have alerted the local mullah that the General's daughter was soon leaving Nowshera and will be accompanying a resupply column to an outpost protecting the Lowari Pass. Thus the Chitrali tribes have joined forces with Bunerwal tribesmen to set a trap for the invading infidels. General McGuinness' daughter, like many other Victorian ladies, lusted to see and experience the Frontier after hearing stories in the Officers Mess of gallant daring do and jingoistic heroics of her majesty's imperial troops. General McGuinness finally relented and let his daughter accompany the strong force marching to the Lowari Pass. On the 2nd day of the journey the force was tricked into thinking a friendly village was under attack. The troops in the overnight bivouac stood to and sent a recon force to the burning village. The Indian troops found no villagers present, alas they were attacked by hidden tribesmen in the perceived abandoned and burning village. After a fierce close quarters engagement the imperial troops forced the ambushers back, both sides suffering heavy losses. During this exchange the astute senior NCO RSM Hadji Singh sent a messenger to alert GHQ of the encounter and to send reinforcements! He then ordered the remaining troops to proceed to and garrison the small village, prepare defensive positions, and unpack the MG that had been brought with the force.
