Gothic Horror Vampire Hunters
« on: April 29, 2017, 01:54:47 PM »
Just vampires? No, she could be hunting just about anything. But anyhoo, this lady of fashion I call Isabella Cornetta is one of a small range of Gothic Horror stylie models that Annie at Bad Squiddo Games has bought from a veteran sculptor (Gary Morely) and now is scratching her head about, wondering when/how exactly to release them.

Lovely brushwork and lovely figure. :-*

She looks to be modelled on Kate Beckingsale from Van Helsing. I'd recognise the backside anywhere ;)

It's the photo I used as source material!

Her front view I mean.

I've seen these in the flesh and they're lovely sculpts, made better with your painty awesomeness.
What's your schedule like, I'll need some bits painting soon too?

Full as an egg. I'm probably booked until the end of summer at least. I guess I need to put my prices up again!

Awesome miniatures - I hope they are released soon.

Annie ran a fantastic KS campaign for her 'Ghosts of Gaia' range. I would have no hesitation in backing any future KS campaign from Bad Squiddo.

Actually, I think this lass is a bit broader, but definitely healthy, as she'll need to be to face the forces of evil!

I'd like to see her in person, as well. I'd feel SO much safer.  lol

Squee!

Thanks all. I have a whole range of this stuff, a mixture of male, female and monsters! It will definitely be a KS, later in the year I think, got so much on the plate - exciting stuff!

I saw Cubster the other day and piled a load more on him, so I guess I could add to the pressure and say "Hey I'll get it started when I have the rest painted", muahahaha.

I'd like to add a bit more to the range too. It was originally the Vampire Slayers Club, a range which was never released, I bought it a while back but haven't had the funds to put it into production, so I guess a KS is perfect! It's got a lot of Gary Morely - bizarrely being the big "lady minis" person, it was actually the male figures which caught my eye, fantastic. All classic gothic horror. Think I'll have to get Phil on some gribblies, and maybe shout Gary for a few more characters, so there is some freshness.

Yeah, there's a few from that set, but not all. Plus I think a couple of models not shown there. I'm pleased to say that the one who looks like Peter Cushing's Van Helsing is included.
