Cambria?  ;)

Very nice work so far! 8)

Typo for Cumbria. Modelled closely on photos of the centre of Carlisle on a Saturday night.

Very nice work btw!

Ally.... righto.... I agree with you that this is probably one of those one off examples and so you are quite right in adding colour to overwhelmingly khaki subjects. I do that too. I have painted WW1 Indian Cavalry with colorful pagris for that same reason. As it has shown here, it gets people talking and engaged.

Nice to see and talk about the painting research. Look forward to seeing images of the game.

Hi Aly, thanx for the reply. At my club we are planning a cambrai scenario too, since my interest in your ruleset choice. Don't worry, no competition, we won't be in Partizan (actually we are in italy) and anyway we are far away from your quality !
Mud and blood is arguably the best ruleset for this period/scale, but since we would like to run a partecipation game, perhaps could be too hard to get grip with. Few years ago we run a ww2 partecipation game (berlin 1945) using chain of command and, though it was much appreciated, was a real pain to teach in few minutes the command mechanism to a public made most of teenager/gandpas with little/no experience in wargame.
I've read that there's a ww1 unofficial expansion for bolt action, do you have any experience with this adaptation?

We have used them a lot, together with some of our own ideas, work a treat we find.

Check out their Mega game scenarios for other rule suggestions.
