Start of my Kulten Dunwich Family
« on: May 03, 2017, 07:53:11 AM »
So me and my friends are gearing up to start a Kulten campaign. There's some Ghouls and Snakemen who need a whooping, so I'm going with the Dunwich Family.

Here's my Magus, the family Patriarch, Pa.

Sorry for the utterly rubbish photos, I really need to invest in some good equipment. Anyway, dont in one day (a rarity for me!), onto the young uns!

Awesome!  Looks perfect for the theme. I try to keep my eyes open for dunwich-esque models, but usually find stuff that plays up the cartoon "hillbilly" vibe rather than look like someone that never wanted to join up with civilization. :) You nailed it on this one!

Let's try this again shall we? Now I have a nice new light box, I can take half decent pics, plus I've added two new members of the fam!

First up is the Patriach

Then the Deadly Spawn

And lastly is the Cult Leader (He's not from round these parts!)

Time to crack on with the rest, while thinking up suitable names for the fam. Two Kindred and a Horror to go!

Good to see you back at this.
I love the new fellas, and am very curious to know where they are from.
Are they all conversions as I do not recognise any of the family.

Whatever their origins , they are all great!

 Looking great!
While I'm not sure who makes the cult leader or patriach minis, the centre mini is a mutant from (I think the Shub-Niggurath faction) of Cthulhu Wars (or the resin version produced by Fenris Games).

Yep Cthulhu Wars Mutant for the Deadly Spawn. I think the Patriarch is an old Excalibur Miniatures model, it'd been on my lead pile for ages. I think the cultist is from Black Tree. If i remember it came with an alter which i used for a piece of terrain and had it collecting dust until it suddenly had a use.

Now I realise where Pa comes from!
He is Ben Walton from their mutants range.
I should have known it earlier as I have his son, Jim Bob who I only got around to painting myself after ge spents dome years on the leadpile.
It must be a curse of The Waltons... ;)

Next up is one of the Kin. Not as mutated as the rest of the family, but it's what's on the inside that counts.

Thanks, the year between this one and the patriarch has really made me wanna go back and re-do him.

it's a Reaper Bones. Think it's just called hillbilly.
